Nimbuzz wins prestigious Red Herring Global 100 award

 

Nimbuzz is following in the footsteps of Google, Yahoo! and YouTube, as Red Herring puts it.

Red Herring awarded Nimbuzz with the prestigious Global 100 award as one of the Top 100 tech-startups in the world.

Nimbuzz is now growing at around 20,000 new users every day and is the first mobile messenger company worldwide to ever receive this award.

“We were so pleased to announce Nimbuzz as a Red Herring Top 100 Global Company,” commented Red Herring publisher Alex Vieux.

Evaluations were made on both quantitative and qualitative criteria, such as financial performance, innovation, management, global strategy, and ecosystem integration.

Winners and finalists from the previous three years were eligible for this outstanding award. Out of 1,800 successful and highly eligible companies, the Red Herring editorial team deployed a detailed process to drill down the best companies and name the top 100 winners of this global award.

For 10 years, Red Herring’s editorial team has diligently surveyed entrepreneurship around the globe. Technology industry executives, investors, and observers have regarded the Red Herring 100 lists as an invaluable instrument to discover and advocate the promising startups that will lead the next wave of disruption and innovation.
