We have a lot of loyal Nimbuzz fans out there, who give us incredibly valuable feedback. With this Ambassador Spotlight section we highlight 2 of our Nimbuzz Ambassadors to the rest of the global Nimbuzz community: Please welcome Cristina, from Spain, and Roger, from USA!

This section is designed for our Ambassadors and their opinions, suggestions and experiences about Nimbuzz – that they want to share with the rest of the community.

We asked Nimbuzz Ambassadors Cristina and Roger what their favorite Nimbuzz feature was and why. Here is what they had to say:

Cristina (pictured left), who runs Nimbuzz on her iPhone says: “Landscape Chat – I love that I can flip my iPhone on the side, and my Nimbuzz contact list, chats, and any tabs turn along with my phone. Makes chatting easier on my fingers and fun!”

Roger (pictured right), who runs Nimbuzz on Nokia N95 says: “Retrieve Location - After making last minute plans to meet at a bar with friends, I sent my girlfriend the plans via Nimbuzz chat, then used the retrieve location feature to see exactly where her train was on the map, so I was able to time the meet-up with her perfectly.”

  1. hi there..congrats guys for being selected. I hope to take your place next once nimbuzz for my phone is out which would be nokia 5800 version. Anyway Roger can u tell us more about retrieve location feature in nimbuzz. i mean all features of it.

It is pretty simple actually, that is if you have a Java, or Symbian type phone, where you can click on the username, and select retrieve location, which takes you to a google maps window showing the person’s location within 500 meters accuracy. I love this feature so much that I am inspired to do a project using Nimbuzz on my phone =]

  7. I really need to get that phone upgrade as currently Nimbuzz runs way too slow on my mobile when the sounds are on.. This problem already sent to Help section but the result wasn’t helping..

  11. @Support- I’m currently using a Nokia 6120c on the MTN network in South Africa..
    Recent upgrade still has a lag and some temporary freezing. Other applications run perfectly..

  13. I’m using Nimbuzz for the last 2 and half years and it has really taken my attention and I’m always online through it.
    The main problem I’m facing from the day I registered in Nimbuzz is that very frequently my GPRS connection disconnects so if the Nimbuzz team can come out with a solution for this I would be very grateful to them cz in Sri Lanka they charge a connection fee every time I connect to the network and after that their downlod charges are very less…

    He have made some estability improvements in our last update in regards of connection.
    Please check with your provider if you continue having this disconnection issues, in our side, we will investigate it and implement this functionaly if needed.

  17. 1 of my friends is having a Nokia 6630 and he can take calls to his GTalk buddies through Nimbuzz gus it’s a Symbian phone mine is a SE W850i n I can’t do so through mine… Can’t you guys give us Sonyericsson users that facillity…

    Thanks for reporting.
    We are currently working in order to solve this issue. In order to investigate further, can you please let us know the following: how did you receive those flooding messages? Via inbox , chatroom or chat messages?
    Was the person who sent you those messages on your contact list?
    Can you let us know the user id of this person?
    When was the last time you experienced this problem?

    i call najm aldin audih and submit to become ambassadors and so far i have had no reply so i know whether i have the right to become nimbuzz ambassador i do not konw i was in error or in the right i want you to trdo on as soon possible thanks

  22. …a little bit slow on my blackberry 8900 but it inappropriate to complain for its a free apps., yet i’m so thankful for the team who devoted their time to make it usable.

    may i suggest to make the apps ask for a password first before going online,…for those people who doesn’t lock their phone and always left their device unattended

    Thanks for your feedback!
    If you want that your password does not get remembered, you can instead of exiting the application go to ME> Status> change to sign out
    Next time you log in you will need to introduce your password first.

    I’m a regular user of Nimbuzz since last year. Chatt using Nimbuzz with my friends all over the world is very simple with Nimbuzz chat app. The only problem that I faced, when using this app, is when I want to call using Nimbuzz VoIP, a warning msg stating that my VoIP traffic facility, being block, and as a result, myself n my buddy who received the call can’t hear the voice of each other. Though my VoIP credit is still have a balance. Anyone can assist me with this problem?

    The most likely cause is a firewall on your router, and/or cable/adsl modem blocking the Nimbuzz audio.
    In order to allow the Nimbuzz audio please ask your Network Administrator to check your router configuration and enable UDP incoming/ outgoing in the port range: 10000 until 65000.

    Could you please indicate which exact error message do you receive when trying to install Nimbuzz?
    From which site are you trying to download the application?

Hey,i’m using nimbuzz 2.04 in my nokia 6630.The problem is that when i call my IM BUDDIES,some kind of disturbing sound is heard.But at the other end they can hear my voice clearly.Doesn’t my phone support nimbuzz calls ? Or is there any settings that have to be changed? Please help me asap..Thanx

    Could you let us know if it always happen calling an specific IM community? If yes, which one?
    Also when calling to your Nimbuzz contacts?
    Which type of connection do you use when placing a call?
