First Global 100, now Europe 100 – Red Herring believes in Nimbuzz!

It’s mentioned that “Once a Red Herring winner, always a Red Herring winner” and Nimbuzz is honoured to join the famed list along with Google, eBay, and Skype – again.

Red Herring named Nimbuzz as a Red Herring Europe 100 Winner, thereby singling Nimbuzz out as one of the top 100 most promising tech companies in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa).

The exceptional accomplishments of European technology start-ups and entrepreneurs are a testament to the rapid advancements being made in building the European innovation ecosystem.“  Red Herring Managing Director, Farley Duvall stated.

Out of 200 successful and highly eligible companies, the Red Herring editorial team chose winners based on both quantitative and qualitative criteria, such as financial performance, innovation, management, global strategy, and dedication to research/development.

Nimbuzz’s CEO, Evert Jaap Lugt commented, “We are delighted to once again be named a Red Herring 100 winner. Following our nomination as a Global 100 winner in 2008, it is great to now also be named a Red Herring Europe 100 winner in 2009. We see this reward as recognition for our efforts to make Nimbuzz the world’s leading mobile social messenger and VoIP provider and of our success and phenomenal growth (adding a new user every 3 seconds).

The Red Herring Europe 2009 Conference, which was held March 31- April 2, explores how European firms are leading the charge in many technology sectors, gaining a competitive advantage, and driving entrepreneurial success in ways that create business opportunities for challengers and incumbents alike.

For 13 years, technology industry executives, investors, and observers have regarded the Red Herring 100 lists as an invaluable instrument to discover and advocate the promising leaders that would change the way we live and work.

Thank you!!

  3. Ha! I didn’t expect a reply! Just want to say I have been a big fan of Niimbuzz for ages now and wanted to just offer my services as a beta tester on any future products or versions of Nimbuzz. I’m very good at giving critical feedback and can explain any bugs I find in great detail if need be.
