Poll Results: Location is key!

Results are in from our blog poll (see question and results above). Thank you for your time and for your votes!

37% of you, the Nimbuzz users,  always retrieve the location of their Nimbuzz buddies on their mobile.

25% of you only sometimes want to know where your friends are.

We are really happy to see that most of the people know about the location sharing feature and use it. Remember, it is really useful to arrange face-to-face meetings on the fly.

For people that didn’t know, it is available for Symbian and Java mobile phones and very soon for the Window mobile phones.

Here are the steps you need to follow to retrieve the location of your Nimbuzz buddies:

On a Symbian 2.0 client you need to:

  • Login to Nimbuzz
  • Go to one of your Nimbuzz buddy from the contact list
  • Press options
  • Go to profile
  • Select the 3rd Tab (Retrieve location) from the Tab Bar

On a Java client you need to:

  • Login to Nimbuzz
  • Go to one of your Nimbuzz buddy from the contact list
  • Select the contact (pressing the middle button usually)
  • Select Retrieve location

For everyone not on a Java or a Symbian phone, the location feature is coming and will be introduced for all mobile phones in the future.

A new Poll is live for you in the right sidebar of the Nimbuzz Main Blog: “Do you have a blog of your own?”

Which device and Nimbuzz version do you use?
You can retrieve the location from your Nimbuzz contacts which have this feature enabled and are using a Symbian or iPhone version of Nimbuzz.
Are you not able to find the functionality or you do you get any error when trying to retrieve it?
    Let us know
