Ambassador Spotlight
We received an overwhelming response from all over the world to the Nimbuzz Ambassador Program invitation. Thank you for your interest, trust, and choice to support and promote Nimbuzz!
Among the new motivated, inspiring Ambassadors, we gathered two that we wanted to share with the rest of the community. They shared with us what attracted them to Nimbuzz, and how they plan to promote Nimbuzz in their countries, please welcome in the comments section: Mark from Australia (left) and András from Hungary (on right).
Mark, who’s been a Nimbuzz user for years after finding the app on getjar.com, is studying Software Engineering and working as a Computer Technician. He’s the tech-guru among his friends, and recommends Nimbuzz to everyone he meets. Although being one of the first applications on his phone, he hasn’t used any alternative, since downloading Nimbuzz.
Mark was attracted to Nimbuzz, on his Nokia 6288, because of: Presence.
“I always like to know what my friends are doing, and Nimbuzz helps me do that, no matter which network they are connected to. I always recommend Nimbuzz to people in hope that it may become as an important asset in their lives as it is in mine.”
András, who will be a candidate for the local election in his village in 2010, plans to revolutionize communication to be the first village to switch from mobile operator-plan dependency for an internet-powered system. Through a state-funded Wi-Fi HotSpot infrastructure (finished by 2013), the Nimbuzz call feature solutions and Wi-Fi-enabled mobile phones - his goal is to have more than 70% of the outgoing mobile phone calls via WLAN connection!
This will empower his village with the freedom to communicate (VOIP, presence and IM) – with government, employers, shops, family, friends and many more places – all by reliable internet calls. He’s inspired by Viviane Reading, EU Commissioner for bridging the digital divide in Europe.
András, was attracted to Nimbuzz, on his Nokia N95 8GB, because of: Honest Feedback.
“Nimbuzz requests honest feedback from their users, in an impressive way. Unlike other companies, who pay to not hear negative feedback on their products, Nimbuzz wants honest feedback, constructive criticism (good or bad); and is willing to send rewards to make this feedback loud and clear (Example: 3 Nokia 5800s for the Survey).
This makes me realize that your goal, firstly is not to profit but to genuinely provide and serve. Many companies abuse the word “serve”, but you’re truly providing an honest service – helping people utilize the internet to reduce their monthly costs. By doing this, I assume you are being confronted with bigger industry obstacles and you don’t seem to be scared.”
Welcome to the program gentleman, thanks for sharing your stories and way to go on your plans!
