NimbuzzOut Rate Calculator

NimbuzzOut Rate calculator

Yesterday we launched our brand new product NimbuzzOut!

Today we would like to demonstrate the Rate Calculator – it’s a really handy tool that helps you work out the NimbuzzOut calling rates for each country.

All you have to do is:

And that’s it!!

The prices will be displayed automatically for both mobile phones and landlines and you can choose to see the rates in 2 denominations – Euros or US dollars.

NimbuzzOut is currently available for Symbian, iPhone and iPod Touch handsets, but we will be rolling it out to other handsets later this year.

To find out more about NimbuzzOut check out yesterday’s post: Say hello to cheap international calls with NimbuzzOut!

  1. Since calls are made from internet, what “from” is for ?
BTW when i change the “from” country, the rate doesn’t change at all.

I tried nimbuzzOut, but there is a big thing missing : CallerID.

Be able to show our cellphone # on calls would be really great.

Also, on second rate would be great.

  2. Hello, I saw rates to Peru, they are so expensive. The media prices in Peru are:
    Land line: US$ 0.02
    Moviles: US$ 0.10
    Fix your prices !!!

  3. Exorbitant rates if I may say so and yes, truly these ARE unheard of. 25c/min to UAE and 8.2c/min to India are one of the most expensive rates I have seen.

If Nimbuzz truly wants to make any headway into International calls from mobile, it needs to compete with competitors like wqn, actionVOIP and IndiaLD. Right now, it looks like it is only looking at jajah and the like.

Neither me nor any of my friends find this an attractive option, except to note that Nimbuzz has the ability to.

  4. Awesome! The rates are only barely higher than “freecall” (google it), which I have never used, but seemed tempting.

Perhaps Nimbuzz can give us SIP settings so I can use the service on my home VOIP phone too (please?) :D

Looking forwards to trying it out when my phone is supported!

When calling a phonebook contact or dialing a phone number, your own phone number will not be visible. “Unknown” or “Blank” will be shown on the phone screen of the call receiver.
In some cases it is even possible that a random number may be shown, depending on the operator and country you are calling.
Let us know if you have more questions.

Pricing in the international voice calling market varies from route to route and provider to provider. Pricing is based on a combination of factors including call volume, call quality and connection methods. At Nimbuzz we’ve invested in technology which promises the best voice quality and highest call connection success rates.
We’re constantly monitoring the marketplace to ensure we remain extremely competitive on a wide range of the most popular international calling routes for our users. The early uptake and user feedback so far has overwhelmingly concluded that we’re achieving this goal.

  7. hey why is that the rate for Russia isn’t there?am in Russia and i need to make some calls too.so please is there a way that i can calculate my rate????

    Farmiosovich November 12th, 2009
  8. [...] The rate of NimbuzzOut can be found here. In general, the price is quite normal: 0.02 or 0.03 USD per minutes to fixed lines in popular destinations, which is more or less the same as major VoIP service providers. It seems that only credit cards are accept to recharge NimbuzzOut accounts.  My question is how NimbuzOut will compete with Skype and other SIP service provider supported by Nimbuzz as a platform. The only advantage I can image is that NimbuzzOut is linked to Nimbuzz accounts directly then no extra setting needed. Nimbuzz to Nimbuzz calls should be still free. [...]

  15. Its really costly affair!!!
To India, when Jumblo offers .015 USD and smartvoip offers 0.017 USD, Nimbuzzout offers 0.082 USD!!!!
    Almost 6 times more costly!!!!

  17. I think its better if you dont copy paste the same answer again and again. Nimbuzz is not just a VOIP application or company just like SmartVOIP or 100 other VOIP provider.

Power of Nimbuzz is able to use wireless network and make call b/w another IM network.

Example, my brother in India uses Nimbuzz to come online from his mobile, I am from Malaysia call him on Nimbuzz instead his phone, practically its free. I did not come across any such solution before.

Those form India, checkout AirTel mobile office, it seems it doesn’t charge for Data Service, at least on prepaid.

  19. I looked at the Nimbuzz out rates for India. It’s 5-6 times higher then other providers. I would rather prefer to use other cheaper VOIP providers, for me & my friends around me it’s not worth paying 5-6 times more money for a bit of improvement in something.

  25. Its cheaper for me to pick up my landline and call South africa then it is for me to make a Nimbuzz out call. I am in the Least Cost routing industry in the UK and the nimbuzz rates aer really high. Any of the other major SIP providers can beat your rates hands down. I do agree that the quality you get from Nimbuzz is good but it all depends on your broadband connection.

I fyou would like Nimbuzz to take off and figh the likes of SKype and Gizmo then you ened to bring your international rates down.

  27. Hi, I saw that there is call out option available in nimbuzz. presently I am using actionvoip (Betamax) credits using by sip service through octrotalk. I try to use nimbuzz by sip service, but calls are connecting, no clear, and losing money.

I am affraid, if I purchase nimbuzz call out, there will be same situation and calls no clear and losing money. so, if u can provide a free trial for 15 days like octrotalk giving us to use sip service.

    ABDULSALAM April 25th, 2010
  28. @ABDULSALAM
Currently we do not proxy SIP Voice Streams, which means that Nimbuzz just connects you to the Sip server and the audio and voice connection is managed by your SIP provider.
If you have issues with the Sound and voice quality while using Other SIP providers, we recommend you to contact directly with your SIP provider.
In Regards of a free NimbuzzOut trial, we do not offer this possibility.
    Cheers
