Android 2.1 in the works!

Android 2.1 sceenshot

The guys from the BeGeek have revealed some pretty cool looking screenshots of the HTC Hero running on Android 2.1  :D .

After the launch of the Motorola Droid everybody was looking to see Android 2.0 on other Android mobiles.  Well, it looks like we will once again see a jump in evolution and the guys from HTC will skip the Éclair update and go straight to Android 2.1.

Android 2.1 settings

Here at Nimbuzz we think that competition and innovation are really important in creating the best products. That’s why we’re happy to see so many new Android updates from Google. Off course, we are looking forward to updating our own Nimbuzz app as well for the new Android versions, as soon as we get our hands on the SDK!

Until then, you can download Nimbuzz for the earlier versions via Android Market by searching  Nimbuzz or simply scan the image below using the bar code scanner

  2. I got Nimbuzz on my HTC Touch Pro and on my facebook contacts it only shows them as numbers. Why is that and how can I have them listed as names as they are on Facebook.com.

We recommend you to unregister and register again your Facebook account.
If this still happens could you let us know if are only the offline contacts the ones that show-up with numbers, instead of names?

  9. Had the same problem on HTC Desire. Can’t skype call out on 3G but can on wifi. Nimbuzz Version 2.0.0. Build: 7981.8052 Android 2.1-update1.

Wifi works well. On 3G, it doesn’t.
