  2. Nimbuzz is the facebook of mobile, but still need improvements. However it is a very practical software. Thats a good news to see new little improvements. At least something new, and encouraging. Wish same for all platforms…!

We do not have plans to support Google Voice in the near future, but we will consider your suggestion.

In regards of your question: native applications run on the BlackBerry OS. This means they can optimally interact with your BlackBerry device, have the look and feel of your BlackBerry, can keep you connected while running on the background, and are tightly integrated with your notification profiles and other phone features.
Let us know if you have more questions.

  5. I installed Nimbuzz on my BB Bold v4.6.0.126. Installation went well until it connected to Nimbuzz. When I disconnected it and connect it again, it had a problem signing in, it says check my connection but all my other apps which needs connection are working well.Another problem is once in awhile it’s hanging esp when I change settings or add/sign in to other accts.and Sometimes online buddies still appear offline even if they’re online.

  6. I have installed Nimbuzz this morning on my 9700. Two problems so far (1) no support for the native BlackBerry Auto Text feature and (2) no word wrap in the chat field (the text scrolls of the screen once you type past the end of the line).

Also, any plans on adding the ability to set an alert when a contact comes online?

  7. @Buff @TeeCee
    Thanks for your feedback.
We will forward your comments to our developers in order to improve this features!

  10. Does Nimbuzz ping the Facebook account at certain intervals, and would this disrupt other Facebook sessions I have open? I keep having to log back into my Facebook account on my PC, and I wonder if it’s tied into some sort of refresh Nimbuzz is doing on my Storm. I didn’t have to re-log in to the Facebook app from RIM – that session stayed connected. I’ll keep an eye on it this weekend and see if this keeps happening on different browsers. I also seem to have numbers instead of names for the offline contacts in Facebook. Online contacts are displaying correctly.
    Thanks for the great app!

  11. Great IM client. I love the consolidation of the most popular IM protocols. Would have loved to see BBM integration as well. Also, it would be nice to have it integrated with the BB messages app to allow me to see open chats there. Finally, an option to allow for automatic launch and login on BlackBerry restart would be great.

Wrote about it on my blog to ask people to check out the BB client:
    http://bmq.blogspot.com/2009/12/nimbuzz-chat-client-for-blackberry.html

  12. Does not work on BlackBerry 8820. When trying to download you get ‘The item you selected cannot be displayed. Do you wish to save the item.’.

    Saving the item does nothing.

Selecting ‘no’ brings up: ‘Unsupported media type: application/vnd.rim.cod’.

  13. Is this version ok for my Blackberry Curve 8330 via Verizon?

I am already running Nimbuzz Version 1.50 rev 3107.

I tried the Download link but its not working to my Blackberry Curve 8330.

  14. I like the new imrpovements! AutoText (native BB feature) and word wrap would be great additions.

The only issues I’ve seen is loading. I have 600+ people in my buddy list (including facebook) and it takes forever for Nimbuzz to load the buddy list. I can’t even move around in the application (for several minutes) until the list loads.

The only other feature I’d like to see is sorting by groups. Wiht the large number of people in my buddy list, I like to minimize groups of friends and such, and show others – it makes getting through the alrge number of people on my list much easier. I have everyone grouped in the native apps – would just like to see in here. :)

  15. When I try to sign in it says that sign-in failed due to network settings issue or network connection. I have a BB storm. Help!!!!

  16. I can’t download nimbuzz for blackberry bold and when I download it I get the old version which is 1.0.0 and I want the new version so how can I download the nwe version?

  17. @Facebook User
Nimbuzz does let you be connected at both (mobile and browser) at the same time with Facebook.
If you get disconnected often, we recommend you to check directly with the Facebook Team.
    Cheers!

    What is exactly not working?
Are you having trouble login in? connecting?
Do you get any error message? If yes, which one?
    Let us know!

  27. I have a Bold 9000 running OS 5.0.0.238 – everything works fine, but I do not see options anywhere to integrate with sound profiles. I don’t even get a blinking LED. I do, however, get the notification in the Home Screen. I’d like to know I have a message when it’s in my pocket!

Version 1.0 via BB App World:
Open, app and proceed to login, Enter Nimbuzz U/N & PW :
“Signing in…” appears for over 3 minutes:
Then: “The sign in has failed. Please check the device network settings and the network connection and try again.”

FYI Facebook, Ubertwitter, Viigo and other 3rd party apps work fine.

    Thanks

    Jason

Which type of connection are you using?
Have you checked your APN settings?

    BB Unlimited Data Plan
    APN settings are unchanged

THE APP WAS WORKING FINE ON THESE SETTING ON BB OS 5.0.0.328

  34. I also has the same problem in storm 9500 os 5.0.0.402, works great on .328, can register new user, but can not login, same message as @jason

  35. @adi
    Thanks for reporting this.
We would like to investigate this issue and for that we need to know which type of connection do you have and which error message do you get when trying to login.
We will try to reproduce this issue and come back to you as soon as we have some more information.
    Regards

  36. You can reproduce the issue jason and others have with 5.0.0.402 for 9500. Got it too and all was fine before .402.
GPRS or 3G connection makes no difference. APN is the same as before.
First Nimbuzz is sending some data-packets and receives answers. Then it takes up to 3mins while its showing “signing in” and no more packets are sent or received.
    Error msg is then:
“The sign in has failed. Please check the device network settings and the network connection and try again”
All other network based apps do fine…
    Regards,
    Mario

  37. @Mario
    Thanks for the information provided.
We will come back to you as soon as we have some more information.
    Regards

  38. Experiencing the same problem on my 8900 with the new 5.0.0.411. I’m on BIS and my APN has not changed. It takes about 2-3 minutes for the sign-in to time-out and I get the message, “The sign in has failed. Please check the device network settings and the network connection and try again”. Like the other users, all my other apps work fine and Nimbuzz did too before I upgraded my OS.

  39. @question
Indeed we do support Push notification on iPhone and iPod.
Unfortunately we are experiencing some issues with this feature, which make it not work properly.
We expect this issue to be solved in the upcoming release.
    Regards

  40. @mstrawder
    Thanks for your comment.
We have reported this issue to our Technical Team and they are already working in order to reproduce and solve this issue as soon as possible.

  41. Hi,

I am using a Bold 9000 with OS 5.0.0.411 running on BES and Nimbuzz was the only application I had loaded that now won’t work.

    Error message:
“The sign in has failed. Please check the device network settings and the network connection and try again”

Now facebook, socialscope, sugarsync, xing, shazam and Viigo all work fine, so I am suggesting there is an error at your end, not the BlackBerry end.

Looking forward to a positive resolution here, as your application has great promise.

    Thanks in advance,

    Thomas

  42. @Thomas
The issue has been identified and our developers are working in order to have this issue fixed as soon as possible.

  43. Hi guys,

“Storm” is what you will feel when you discover that RIM (blackberry) has cheated you, by selling a force-caped operating system that not support voip sdk.
Maybe then, you will understand why vodafone and many others companies try to sell this s@#$t.

Mobile companies dont like these apps, and of course, they dont want to sell any more voip capable mobiles like s60. (forget maemo)

Want to change some thing ?
Never buy blackberry again. You can vote everyday.

    Have a nice day!

  45. @Guillermo Loco
Thanks for your feedback and comment.
Indeed our application for BlackBerry does not support VoIP calling.
Despite of this we are trying to get a work around in order to provide an alternative.
    Regards

  46. @cute20_key
The current version of BlackBerry does not support VoIP calling.
Previously we have had the Dial-Up VoIP solution which We removed to develop an improved version for the near future.

  47. I got a few issues with it on my Storm 2. It doesnt make any sound when i get a new message and nothing comes up in my messages folder like all the other IM apps, which is just frustrating. Also nobody from myspace im shows up on my list until i get a message from someone and it’s hard to add anyone to my contacts because i have to remember the long myspace number and add it manually since there is no quick option to add and even when i add them only the number shows up and i cant change the display name or anything. and in the chat no name shows up, only the colon and the message.

  48. @queralt escrich
hi can i get the old version from any source..for blackberyy bold..if u could please assisst me many thanks

  49. I decided to rollback to 5.0.0.328 for my BB9500. FB chat works again. There were a few other issues with the later OS for me aswell so maybe it wasnt a Nimbuzz issue after all.

  50. How can I maky my Bold sound when I receive a msg? Im currently just getting a red led and a notification in my homescreen, but i cant make it sound! (Wich i would love)
    Thanks!

  51. I have download nimbuzz and it works great with google talk and AIM. I have added facebook, but none of my FB contacts shows up. When I try to add contacts again, it shows my facebook account details, but give a message saying, “sorry, adding contacts from facebook is currently not supported.” Does anyone know how to get around this and add facebook contacts? I downloaded this application mainly for the facebook chat. Does anyone know if there is an upgrade that will allow me to use facebook chat? Thanks in advance.

    Bold 9700 OS 5.0.0.421

  61. @shishah
If you want to add Facebook contacts, this option is not available via Nimbuzz yet.
You will have to do that directly via Facebook itself.

  62. Hi. I had Nimbuzz installed on my Nokia E51 and I backed up all my phone book contacts to the Nimbuzz server. I am now using Nimbuzz on my Blacberry 8900 but cannot see an option to view my backed up contacts! Need help.

  63. I have a Blackberry curve 8900, i downloaded nimbuzz via Getjar. on the website, it shows the version of nimbuzz is 2.1; however when i downloaded and installed it, the actual version was 1.00. i don’t know how it happened. also, my fiends, who are using iphone of nokia phones, can send emails or files via nimbuzz on their mobiles, but not me. on my phone, i am only able to chat with them. and there is no options otherwise. is it because the version i have is too low? or there is something wrong with my service supplier–Rogers. please help!
btw, the OS on my phone is 4.6.1.315

  64. @Mia
Your device is using a different Operating system, that’s why we have different versions which almost the same features. In your case the calling feature is not enabled, and there is not full twitter support, the rest must be similar to a Symbian user.
The latest version for BlackBerry devices is 1.0 and for Symbian devices 2.2
Let us know if you have more questions
    Regards

  65. @Dixit
The Phonebook feature has been temporary removed in order to provide an improved version in the near future.

Please…considered to have the service available soon…

The pop – up window from Facebook that you get on Nimbuzz is a verification of the authenticity of your account. (this message is from Facebook itself)

When you login from a different place you can get this Facebook verification. As long as you fill in the correct information matching with the one on your Facebook account itself, it will work.

Please make sure you entered the birth date on the American format month/day/year

  89. I have a Curve 8310 on AT&T and I get a message when I first launch the program. It says “Testing connection” for a few seconds then comes up and says “Connection failed! The application is unable to connect at this time. Please check your Internet connection.” I have tried to connect off and on for the past 2 days and had no luck. Any ideas?

  90. Nimbuzz doesn’t seem to be connecting for me since last night. This morning only a couple of my IM services will connect. Also when it was working updates for user who are online/offline especially with facebook are very slow and they may show as online long after they have signed off.

The app looks awesome, is easy to use but pretty slow and eats battery very quickly on my blackberry curve.

  91. Really cool app, however I have some problems with it. I use windows live, gtalk and facebook account on it, and everyone exept facebook works great. Facebook contacts usually wont load or needs a really long time to load it, and then when they are loaded, if I sign out from nimbuzz and sign in again tey wont load anymore. It is annoying.

VoIP is missng too, especially because my wife use nimbuzz on symbian phone :(

My phone is Blackberry 8900 curve with os 4.6

  92. Just thought I’d let you know that when I had 5.0.0.190 (BB Bold 9000) the app worked fantastic and it was one I recommended to friends but when I upgraded to 5.0.0.411 it no longer worked. I get the same error message as other and I am anxiously awaiting the next update.

  93. I have a BB 9500 with the official OS .402.
Has the problem been solve already? is there a new version of nimbuzz so that I can finally log in?
    thanks

    From Congo

  94. I have the App on my Blackberry Bold. Initially, I could see facebook contacts online. For the past few logins, even though it shows I am connected to facebook, no contacts show up.

  96. Same problem eather on my bb curve 8900 I had version 4.6.1.250 worked..I upgrade my device to 5.0.0.411..gone!! Is not working at all..:( I can’t log in..it stucks when loading

  97. I have the blackberry 8900, just updated it to os 5.0.0.411 after starting nimbuzz I enter username and password, signing in is displayed for 2-3 min. and then followed by and error. (The sign in has failed. Please check the device network settings and the network connection and try again) I can create a new account even though I can sign in. all all other data services work without any problems (facebook, viigo, pandora, BBM, e-mail, web browser) I have a BIS unlimited data plan, APN is unchanged. I also get the same thing when I am connected to wifi.

  98. Merry Christmas to you all, I installed version 1.1.0 on my 9500 OS 5.0.0.425 storm, but it does not work.
Perhaps I should change any permission?
    Thanks and best wishes

  99. I’m running firmware v 4.6.111.33 and I can only download Nimbuzz 1.1.0 and I can’t even get it from BB appworld as I can’t even download App world. How can I get a higher version of Nimbuzz as my current version can’t even hide offline contacts. I’m using a curve 8900. All help appreciated in advance.

  100. nimbuzz is not working with any of the newst blackberry OS 5.0.0.4xx meaning that most of the blackberry users which have recently updated their devices cannot use nimbuzz. its a pitty as i really like the application and cannot use it.
the lack of voip, though understood to be a RIM problem, its also a pitty, Nimbuzz could use a workaround like iSkoot uses: it calls a local number and from this number connects to the skype user or skypeout number. if you have a flat voice plan, which is my case, then the call is for free for skype users and only costs skypeout minutes for regular phones.
    my 2 cents!

  101. Hi, all in all really good app, but usually it wont load my facebook contacts. Gmail, msn and skype loads right away, but facebook contacts takes a long time to load (if it loads it).

    Any sugestion?

I am using nimbuzz v1.1 on curve 8900 os 4,6

    THX

  102. I currently use Version 1.1 directly download through OTA:
Open, app and proceed to login, Enter Nimbuzz U/N & PW :
“Signing in…” appears for over 3 minutes:
Then: “The sign in has failed. Please check the device network settings and the network connection and try again.”

FYI Ubertwitter, Viigo and other 3rd party apps work fine.

    My mobile: bold 9700, with 5.0.0.423(platform 5.1.0.116)

When I use ver1.0 on 5.0.0.355 it works fine, but when I upgrade OS to 423, 1.0 doesn’t work, and then I upgrade to 1.1, same. But it seems that I can add new account and can receive verification code image.

    Thanks

  103. @ queralt escrich
    Thanks for your answer.
No, i have not checked my APN settings because I use a wifi connection.
I can’t use any application that require internet connection.
Do you have an idea of the problem’s origins ?

Which OS version does your device have?
Note that this application is compatible with 4.6 OS and above.

  108. @borgoerizzo
Please check that your status is not set as default as offline on the Facebook page, if you do, you will see your contacts as offline.
In regards of VoIP we do not support it due to some technical reasons.

Sometimes Facebook contacts take longer to load, specially if you have large number of contacts.
Note that due to some technical limitations, it is just possible to load 400 Facebook contacts per user.
    Regards

  113. Like I said before, great app but it simply doesn’t work well on blackberry. Facebook contacts sometimes won’t load at all, and sometimes only showe numbers instead names.

I am sure nimbuzz team will fix this, but until then it is too frustrating trying to use it :(

  114. I recommend this application. I’ve used it on my N78. Very good IM. Unfortunately there’s no version to be installed on my curve 8300 v4.5 . Thanks to nimbuzz team developing this application.

  115. Hi,
    same here…
Running 5.2.0.31 on a BB 8520 Curve. ICQ/Yahoo/GT Client works (but is crap compared to Nimbuzz), but Nimbuzz not.
I hope you could fix it anytime, I am one of those depending on the messenger and wouldnt mind paying it, as long as it runs smoothly!
    Cheers,
    Walter

  116. @Walter
Indeed we are working in order to fix this issue as soon as possible.
    @jecki
A version for your device will be able to downloaded soon.
    @maraschino
    We are investigating this.

  117. @michele
The version you are using does not have running in the background feature.
we are studying the possibility of adding it in the future.
    Regards

  118. My 8310 is running 4.5. I didn’t even think to check my OS version before installing it. Sorry about that.

  119. @jahangir
The calling feature is not available on Java and BlackBerry devices.
Let us know if you have more questions.
    Regards

  120. Thank you, you fulfill your words. I get it for my curve 8300 v4.5 now. Very nice. We can minimize it by pressing call end/power button, and do anything else. It’ll restore automatically if we get new message. Though there is no notification on home screen yet, I give 5 score to Nimbuzz team. Thank you very much.

  121. Hello and good 2010, I seem to have realized that came out a fix for OS 5.0.0.425 storm of 9500? Can you update the link from where you can download the update, now I use 1.1.0 and not working
    Thanks and regards

  122. @David
    Thanks for reporting to us.
We are aware of an issue related with the OS’s 5.0.0.4xx in which we are working to have solved as soon as possible.
    Thanks for the understanding,
    Kind regards.

  123. Seems the issue with BB OS 5 has been going on for a LONG TIME. Perhaps it is time to give up and use apps that work. Nimbuzz seems to think we should just wait but come on now, there are other apps out there. I say ditch NUMBUZZ.

  124. @Chris
We highly require your patience because we are trying our best to have this issue solved as soon as possible. Unfortunately we could not solve it until the moment but we aim it solve it soon.
    Kind regards.

  125. I came to Numbuzz from Palringo because of the same thing. 10 months for an update and then it just caused more problems – the main one being incompatibility with OS 5.0. With Nimbuzz at the moment, I have no sound profiles or LED, so I depended on the red notification star on the homescreen icon. Now the star is there all the time even if I’ve read the message, so – in short – I have absolutely no idea when it is that I’ve received a message. I know you’re working mostly on connectivity issues, but these little details take away all the functionality of the App!

  126. @Marv
We are dong our best to have this issue solved as soon as possible.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and we ask for your comprehension.
    Kind regards.

  127. Bold 9700 on Bell, sadly this app will not sign in, i have no issues signing in with the PC app on my laptop. This is a great app but soon worried i will have to break down and spend the money on BeeJive.

  128. I understand that the network connection issue is well known for 5.0.0.4xx (storm2 9550). However, I am curious to know if there is an estimate on when an update will be released. If I know I won’t have to check back so often. I wanted to try the app, but can’t even use it since it won’t connect. Thanks!

  129. Ditch Nimbuzz?! NEVER! Lol! There aren’t any other free alternatives that include Skype chat, which is exactly what I need. Iskoot is extremely slow, and it has a pretty crappy UI if you ask me. ;)

  130. I was prompt to upgrade from version 1.0.0 to 1.1.0 and now i got problem connecting my nimbuzz :( Blackberry curve 8900

  131. Hi,
I just installed Nimbuzz in my BB bold 9000, and it works greatly except that i could not add my contacts from skype because Skype is not listed :( .. how can i make skype listed to take the contact from it??

  132. @MSK
Is the Skype community not showing on your Menu> Communities ?
You should be able to see it and register your account.
Let us know if you receive any error message when trying to add it.

Could you let us know which exact error message are you receiving?
When does it appear before or after introducing your account details?
Which OS version are you using?
Which type of connection are you using? BIS or BES?
Thanks for your answers and time!
    Regards

  134. @gpc
We are investigating and researching this issue.
We will announce it as soon as it is solved. Unfortunately we cannot provide you with an estimate date to have it fixed since it is still underdevelopment.

  135. i tried downloading numbuzz for my blackberry curve 8320 but it says “a communication failure has occured. the server may be busy, please try again later. if the proble persists contact your service provider”

any link where i can download this program???

  136. happy 2010 for everyone!!!
thank you for answering my question before! and now, i have another problem as other people mentioned in here. my Blackberry 8900 was currently updated the OS to 5.0.0.411; therefore, as others, the Nimbuzz won’t work on my phone either with same error message about the network connection, which you guys have already known about and been working on it. I’ll be patient to wait for the updates.
however, amoung sever installing and deleting Nimbuzz from my phone after the OS upgrading, an interesting thing happen to me. right after the OS was upgraded to 5.0.0.411, i went to the website GETJAR to download Nimbuzz. the version i was able to download and install was 1.5; then, because the connection error message appeared, i deleted Nimbuzz and tried to redownload it again. since then, the version i downloaded from Gegjar and installed had been always 1.1 instead of the previous vs 1.5; So, my question is whether there is the version 1.5 Nimbuzz ever existed? if so, how come i couldn’t find it anymore?
    best regards

  137. @James
Could you please let us know when does this error message appear?
Are you able to connect to other pages or applications that require internet connection?
Which type of connection are you using?
    Let us know!

  138. @Mia
    Thanks for your feedback.
We will check the versions uploaded in Getjar.
The version 1.5 is for Java based devices.
We will keep announce it as soon as the BlackBerry connectivity issue has been solved.
    Kind Regards

  139. I think by now you shouldn’t be looking for details of the error messages. It’s obvious that there is a problem with the OS 5. May be there is a module that has been disable on OS 5;
I look forward for a new version, but as for now I’ve been able to force eBuddy work on my Blackberry storm. I can’t really figure out but it works anyway.

  140. I have 1.5 version on my BB 8800 (4.5 OS) . When i will be able to download new version of Nimbuzz for my device?? I need this LED notification asap!

  141. Dear Nimbuzz,

I use Nimbuzz on two BBs: 8320 and Bold 9000.

I had Nimbuzz version 1.0 working fine for my Bold 9000 (software version: 4.6.0.126). However, after updating to v. 1.1 2 days ago, the connection has become instable and Nimbuzz always try to reconnect unsuccessfully. Can I revert back to Nimbuzz version 1.0?

BB 8320 has version 1.5 installed, but the connection is always unstable as above. Software version: 4.5.0.174

    Thank you,
    Aron

  142. Hey..i’m just wondering does Nimbuzz connect using TCP(edge) or wifi on Blackberry cos i can’t find the connection settings in version 1.1.0.

  143. Can any body let me know How to download Nimbuzz on Black Berry Bold 9000.
As i tried it is just showing Testing your connection but it is not getting connected.

  144. so, should I wait for nimbuzz team to fix problem with os 5 and not update my 8900 curve just yet, or?

i guess what I’m asking is it expected to fix the bug soon or?

really like nimbuzz and don’t like to use other similar apps, so I’m really looking forwrd to it…

    THX

  145. @doosta
    Thanks for your interest.
We are working in order to provide a new version for BlackBerry devices that have OS 4.5 in the future.

    Regards

  147. @maraschino
We are working in order to solve this issue as soon as possible.
If you cannot wait for the fix to use Nimbuzz you can also downgrade your OS version using 4.6 or 4.7 Nimbuzz will work properly on those versions.
    Regards

  148. @Fahad
Please try again to download Nimbuzz going directly to get.nimbuzz.com on your phone browser.
Let us know if you still face some issues.
    Regards

  149. @Aron
    Thanks for your comment.
The BB 8320 uses a Java based version cause is using a OS version lower than 4.6
The BB Bold is using a different Nimbuzz version, could you let us know if you are still able to connect to Nimbuzz but is unstable or you are not able to connect at all?
Which type of connection are you using? BIS or BES?
    Let us know!
    Regards

  150. Hey there, bb storm os 5.0.0.425 is now an official release :) cant wait u guys to fix nimbuzz Realy like it but now Chance to downgrade love this os :)

  153. Hi again,

  155. I’ve downloaded the application onto my BB Bold, and it works great! However, all of my contacts are listed as “Online”, when I know that some are “Away”. How can I get Nibuzz to correctly list my contacts’ status? Also, what does “Dsiplay Group” do? Finally, what’s the difference between “Sign Out”, “Exit”, and “Close” in the Menu screen? Thank you so much for this excellent application!!!

  156. hello
    i am using a BB 8703 E.
    i installed nimbuzz succesfully.
but am not seeign a option to make voice calls say from google to another google account.
pl advice if this is possible

  157. I have a Blackerry Curve 8900 and Nimbuzz won’t show all of my Facebook Chat contacts. Alphabetically, it shows up to about L/M. People below this can speak to me but I can’t reply and they just come up as numbers, whyyyy??!

  158. I’ve installed Nimbuzz onto my BB Bold. Why are my available FB Contacts all listed as “Online”, when I know that some are “Away”? Also, what is the purpose of the “Display Group” function? Thanks!!

  159. bah its been over 2 months now and still no release for OS5. Nimbuzz needs to work better here as all blackberries are being rolled up to OS 5.0.4XX and nimbuzz wont work on any of them!!

  160. well, I guess they are working hard on it, after all it means to them a lot that their app is working as it should. I am waiting for the new version also and would like that it is already here, but…what can we do…

  161. @BigB
    Thanks for reporting this.
Could you let us know from which community are the contacts you see with a wrong status?
In regards of the differences between Sign Out and Exit: If you Sign Out you will close the application and your password won’t be remembered (next time you login, you will need to re-type it) When you press Exit you Log out but your password will be remembered in the application.
Let us know if you have more questions.
    Regards

  162. @Syed baramy
We do not support VOIP calling on Nimbuzz Mobile for Blackberry devices. We currently use the maximum capacity that the phone can offer but unfortunately the Blackberry devices can’t support VOIP calling.
For this reason we can’t implement the the VOIP feature for your device.

We are working to have a calling solution for the Blackberry in the future.

Please let us know if you have any questions!

    Regards.

  163. @R
Due to technical reasons we currently support 400 contacts per Facebook account on Nimbuzz, which means that you will be able to visualize the first 400 contacts from your Facebook in alphabetic order.

We are working in order to improve this in the future but we still have no fixed date for it to be ready.

Let us know if you have more questions.

    Kind regards.

  164. Well this is a shame because I used this service on my 8900 with no issues and recommended it to a lot of people. I have been waiting over 2 months now for an update so that I can use Nimbuzz on my 9700 and nothing yet. I am most definitely not willing to drop my OS back, that idea is just not even an option. Maybe when u get this all figured out I will be back in the mean time $10 for BeeJive a software that Is up to date with the most current devices isn’t all bad. Hopefully there will be a fix for this soon. If not it was a good run.
    Peace Out.
    BiggNick

  165. @bbaudet
Could you please be more specific on your query?
Are all your Facebook contacts displaying a wrong status?
In regards of the Display Group Function, this is to minimize or your contacts that belong to a group.
    Kind Regards

  166. @queralt escrich
Let me clarify my question: does Nimbuzz display different statuses for a FB contact who is “Online” and one who is “Idle”? Thanks!!

  167. @bbaudet
Currently we just display “Online” or “Offline” for FB contacts.
Let me know if you have more questions.
    Cheers

  168. still nothing new about the os5 uhm? so sad :(
may i ask if you where able to locate the problem? or are you still searching?

  169. @queralt escrich
Thanks for your previous reply. It would be nice to add this feature (Online and Idle status symbols) in the future. Is that possible? BTW: when using Nimbuzz last night I found that the service was extremely slow. I asked my wife to send me several test chat messages and only received 1 of 10 messages! What’s going on? Any ideas?

  170. Hey, guys. Just got the curve 8330 from Boost Mobile. Data services are working fine and everything connects except Nimbuzz. It tests the connection and then it is unable to connect. I’m wondering if it’s because Boost just started using Blackberry and the program doesn’t recognize the connection. I get no problems on my Windows Mobile phone. I’m hoping for the same result on my Blackberry. Thanks.

  171. @bbaudet
We will consider the possibility of adding other status in the future.
In regards of the speed of the application, Which type of connection were you using?

  172. @queralt escrich
I was on a 3G connection. Here’s a question: while the application is “Reconnecting” and a person sends me a chat message, will I receive it when Nimbuzz is reconnected? Thanks! What situation would make me not receive a chat message (never delivered)?

  173. 6 days now and still nothing new since the last: we’re working to fix it asap.

and actually there is os 5.0.0.451 up.

  174. Hi guys, don’t know if Nimbuzz is doing anything on their side for connections from Blackberries cos I got a faster connection on Nimbuzz for the past 3 days or so I think. Is anyone getting a better connection on Nimbuzz lately?

  175. Hi there i would really want to know why i do not have option to make a call from my version 1.1.0 of nimubuzz. A friend of mine told me about this app says she install her in her phone nokia and has version 2.2.0 and she has that option in the app. At first i couldnt download from this web of yours the app had to downloaded from the blackberry app. I have a blackberry storm 9530. Can you please tell me if this version for my phone is the latest and why i cannot see the option to make a call from the application.. Thanks i will really appriciate your replay soon…

  185. Wow,
Nimbuzz is signing in all the time in my Bold 5.0.0.411. So I have to downgrade to os 4.6 right now.

  186. The lates upgrades to OS 5. of BBs seem to be creating some troubles to IMs. this is the third month and still fix for Nimbuzz on Storm OS 5.
I don’t want to downgrade because of the multiple buggs I had.
When should we await for the fix.
    I’m sadly disappointed.

    Nimbuzz was the only application..

    Thanks for your reply,

We are not aware of any issue in regards of sending/receiving files.
Could you please be more specific on this?

Are you sending files to your contacts from Nimbuzz or other communities?
    Let us know!

  202. I was just thinking of the benefit of putting out a quick fix so we can actually use the program. From then on we could be helping find bugs until the time you all finally get around to releasing (I assume you are waiting for some big release or only have one BB dev since it seems to be taking so long) a 2.0 or something. Award winning program we can’t use! Alright sorry for the sarcasm.

  203. I was using Nimbuzz with my Nokia N95 until last week; superb performance with great features to stay connected with friends and family. I used to call my friends on by selecting call function from Nimbuzz (to yahoo). Now I got a Blackberry Bold 9700 and downloaded the Nimbuzz for Blackberry Bold 9700 version, everything works fine except the calling feature. Anyone knows why? How long to get that option in Nimbuzz for users who has Blackberry Bold 9700 phones.

    Thanks

  204. @isometric
The Nimbuzz version for BlackBerry devices does not offer calling feature, due to some technical reasons.

  206. Nimbuzz was the only free app making yahoo available on my BB storm. As I upgraded to OS5.0.0.451, I vainly look up and tried so many app, but still, no yahoo.

Finally I downgraded to OS 4.7.0.148 after 3 months of hell I can now login back to nimbuzz

But please, we are eargerly waiting for a fixed new version for OS 5 with the ability to make voip call between yahoo, skype and so on will be very fine.

We love you and are behind you, Nimbuzz team. Do no leave us for the sake of other devices.

We are aware of this issue and your concerns.
We are working in order to have this fixed.

  208. @Tobias
Why RIM does not enable VOIP on their phone?
Can we expect a change for the upcoming models?
Is Nimbuzz trying to figure out a bypass just as iSkoot for Skype, so that we can have the same wow experience as on Nokia N95?
    RIRRRIIIIIMMMMM !

Thank so much for your reply,
    Regards

  209. @Narcisse
We will study the possibility of having a workaround solution for BlackBerry calling.

  226. Oh come on people, don’t you read anything before you post???? Nimbuzz doesn’t work on OS 5.x yet!!!!

Please read the blog before posting the same thing over and over again…

  227. LOL…borgoerizzo, when i get the email everyday on this thread i see the same thing. Nimbuzz staffs are people with really gooood patience :)

  228. @borgoerizzo
Hey dude – I had NO idea that Nimbuzz would not work on my BB
Interesting, cos it DID work on the SAME phone until a few weeks earlier…
    Your attitude here stinks…
perhaps you need to take people skills training, or better still, leave the comments to the TEAM…

  229. @allen
why do you react like this? Borgo said nothing wrong and wasn’t rude; it is exactly as he said. No one is reading post above. The thing is that the problem is not in your phone but the OS version in it.
Well what I wanted to say is that there was no reason for you to attack borgo…

  230. @daunti
Please be patient, the Ambassador Team will contact you as soon as they can.

  231. I had Nimbuzz on my Nokia N85 and it was the true ‘app-killer’ but nimbuzz on my Blackberry 9700 is a joke. I can’t hardly do anything and it takes Forever to load up. Please get the kinks worked out Nimbuzz team! Also- we need option to do calls over skype with our contacts, use skype/nimbuzz/voip out credits, and display the avatars/icons next to screen name.

  232. @Brant G
The calling feature is not available on BlackBerry devices due to some technical limitations.

  233. Hey, I love the nimbuzz concept… its totally awesome! I have downloaded it on my blackberry curve and not facing any issues!
However, when i downloaded the app. on my dad’s Blackberry 9700 Bold, it does not sign in at all!… i re-installed it again and still nothing it sort of still gets hung when trying to sign in :(

    Any recommendations???

  234. @mathias

  235. The software was working great till a week or so earlier,, thats when it refused to connect to facebook and constantly gives me the ‘!’ mark indicating failed connection.

    Please help

  236. It is so frustrating to wait for your fix on the connectivity issues for BB OS 5.0. Since weeks we are waiting, and it look´s like nothing happens.

  237. Just got a prompt to update my Curve 8900 to version 1.1.1. Let’s see what’s the difference. I’m still running on OS version 4.6.xxx.

  238. Hey all,

    News form crackberry! http://crackberry.com/nimbuzz-updated-and-now-working-os-5-0-devices

It is working on the OS 5.0. Anybody here already tested? I have been waiting for a long time for this.

Two points I would like to know guys:
    1) Just working with GPRS/ EDGE? Not working with Wifi?
    2) No VOIP calling function?

If so, it is a pity. My previous Nokia E63 working via wifi and including the VOIP calling function.

    Anybody can answer these? Thanks.

    John Tran.

  239. I have nimbuzz on my 9700 and messaging works fine, I just have no sound when I receive a message. I get the notification on the home screen, but no sound. How do I turn sounds on and set them. Gone into sound profiles where I set ringtones/emails/facebook and all that stuff and no nimbuzz option. In nimbuzz gone into settings and only options are basic acct settings no option anywhere for sound. Somebody please help as I find this app pretty unhelpful if I don’t even know I’m getting a message

  240. @John Tran
Indeed we have released a new update that fixes the connectivity issues. In regards of your other 2 questions:
    1. Nimbuzz does work on Wi-Fi
    2. Calling functionality has not been included.
    Cheers!

  241. @ queralt escrich

    Thank you for your response.

Yah, it is working on my BB Bold 9000 OS 5.0.0.411 via wifi.

The other issue is the VOIP calling function excluded.
Additionally, Nimbuzz also excluded: tones setting (we have to setup from the ringtones of the cell); file sending/ receiving; adding contact for skype. I am just using yahoo messenger and skype account only so that I do not know the status of others.

I am now using both IM+ lite and Nimbuzz, to me IM + lite is better than Nimbuzz (IM+ lite included the above said functions but excluded the VOIP calling function). However, Nimbuzz also have one point better than IM+ lite, it is the stableness of the wifi connection- not usually interrupted.

So Nimbuzz please get these fixed

    Thanks again.

    John Tran

  242. @brian
Make sure you have downloaded the latest update (1.1.1)
    To change the sound notifications:
    Go to Menu> Sounds > Set Ringtone Alerts> Instant Messaging> Other> Nimbuzz
There you can activate the sounds you require.
    Regards

  243. @queralt, i think ihave 1.1, when i go into the appworld it only has 1.1. not 1.1.1, and when i go to to options>sounds>instant messaging, it has my aim yahoo bb messanger gtalk and all those, but no nimbuzz, ive gone under all the tabs ie: phone, other, all of them, other just has facebook myspace and ubertwitter, no nimbuzz anywhere. where do i get 1.1.1 and am i in the wrong place for sounds? fairly new to blackberrys so dont know all the shortcuts yet, but i have founsd osunds for all my apps except nimbuzz, please help

  244. @queralt, disregard my last comment, found and downloaded 1.1.1 and now i have the sounds listed in others, thanks for the help

  245. @brian
We will check that the latest update gets uploaded on the blackberry App world as soon as possible.
Please make sure you have the latest update and then check the sound alerts again.

  247. i LOOOVE my Nimbuzz! It is working SO well – my friends are envious!
Just a quick question: When I log into Nimbuzz after logging out, it remembers my login name but always asks for me to enter my password. Can the password be saved so that it can auto login when I open the programme?

  248. @Allen
If you sign out going to:
    Profile> Status> Sign out
then your password won’t be remembered
    If you log out doing:
    Menu> Exit
Next time you login your password will be remembered

But i am uninstalling from my Bold 5.0 because of battery drain and memory usage.
I run out of battery power, under 4 hours, without receiving/making a single call but just emailing and running nimbuzz in the background.
