Only 2 weeks after we launched Nimbuzz 1.5 with (VoIP) calling over 3G, we are back with Nimbuzz 1.6.[download Nimbuzz for iPhone]

since ver. 1.6 (2779) my app is broken:-( it does not keep me online and display “txtAfter30minutes” instead of “30 Min” and “txtPushNotificationsConceptExplanation” etc. – ipod and iphone on 3.1.2. with german localisation. is there a secure(offical) way to restore the old version??? thx everybody —moritz

I use Nimbuzz daily with both iPod Touch and iPhone and I am very pleased with the design and functionality. My only problem is that too often it takes forever to log in via WiFi and sometimes the connection is simply nor made and I must restart. Once connected it is stable, and the extra push hours are very welcome. I imagine you already know about the unfinished text in buttons and pull down menus in this latest version. Overall a top notch App, well designed and very useful. Thanks and congrats!

Hi, I’ve installed nimbuzz on my iphone and connects well but not receive incoming message notifications, although notifications have been enabled. Could someone tell me what i’m doing wrong?

Great software. I have the dutch version and it doesn’t display correct text on some buttons, like mentioned by others in earlier posts.
Furthermore, if I close nimbuzz and get a facebook message with push, the name of the sender is not diplayed when I open nimbuzz. Only a number. After that, if I close nimbuzz and open it again, the message is gone.

The issues with the txt in some buttons will be changed in the next release.
In regards of the Facebook push messages, we will investigate this issue and fix it as soon as possible.

Hi guys

Nice program works good. But what i need to know more is when my iphone goes to sleep mode and works with normail inncomming and sms function the nimbuzz push system does not work. If im using the wireless internett or manuel started the safari or nimbuzz the push notification work.

Will it not work if the phone is on sleep modus ? Or do the iphone always have to be online with the ingernett using wifi? Or can it use 3G even in sleeping mode to get the push notification ?

Wow it’s seems great. I already did the update ! I really like Nimbuzz on my iPhone 3G, it’s a cool app .
But I would like it even more if :
» It could show a picture of the person we are calling in the background, just like when we make a normal call with the iPhone.
» We could add Fring users.
» The Desktop version (PC) could support Skype.
Oh and by the way, I personaly think that Nimbuzz collects a lot of personnal information and keep it too long, according to the Terms of use

To be able to use the Push notification, first of all you need to make sure you have this function enabled on your Account settings.
Once you have it enabled and you exit the application, you will require that your device is connected to the network (via Wi-Fi or 3G) to be able to push the messages.

In regards of your suggestions:
1. We will consider this to be implemented
2. We do not have plans to implement this in the future.
3. Skype is not supported on the Desktop version due to some technical limitations.
4. Could you be more specific? What exactly do you disagree with the Terms of use?

Hi, I wonder what settings are needed for 24/7 pushnotifications. Via Instellingen, Pushmeldingen I have Push Notifications ON…and then it says “txtSignOutIMAccounts”…what settings are there needed for 24/7 push….is that “lblImmediately”?? Other options there are “txtAfter30minutes” to “txtAfter4hours”…
Please help!

First of all note that the 24×7 Push is available for your received Nimbuzz messages/calls not for other IM communities.
If you enable the Push notifications to ON this will automatically make it 24×7 for Nimbuzz, the other timing you choose 30min, 1hour… etc will be applied to the rest of IM communities you have registered.

I remember using NimBuzz from my Iphone on Wi-Fi to call an Live Messenger IM contact computer, in the same way I can do it from my IM client.

With version 1.6 (2779) I have not being able to do so.

Any ideas?

Due to some changes in the MSN protocol itself calling MSN buddies is not possible right now.
e are working in order to adapt to those changes, as soon as we do the calling feature will be working again.

I had nimbuzz on my iPhone some months ago but after a total cleaning I lost it. I still have it, though, on my Nokia E51. Now that I am trying to redownload the app from the Greek app store it is just not there. Any ideas?

Hey,

Ok.. please do explain me why there is only 4 hours of push for the IM’s??? This is seriously the only annoying thing about nimbuzz compear to EBuddy.. The 24/7 push for nimbuzz messages… hmpf.. no use for it since almost no one is using Nimbuzz in my surroundings . Untill the 24 hour push is there for IM.. Ebuddy will be the one to use.. even that they don’t support skype which is also a pain …

As you might know 3G calling is not allowed in Greece yet, since our application allows 3G calling it is not possible to be found in the iTunes Store from Greece.

Hi, I love Nimbuzz but I think there might be something wrong with my push notifications. Whenever I get a push notification and open Nimbuzz the time displayed on the message O received is exactly two hours ago. So it seems there is a two hour delay on the push notification on an incoming message! What could be wrong?
I live in the Netherlands but I think I might be using an English version. could this have something to do with it? Time zone wise or something?
I really only use the gtalk account (if that’s relevant)
hope you can give me some advice because it’s really annoying

Ps. I just found out that the language in Nimbuzz is dependant on the language settings for the entire phone so that there is no Dutch or English version. Knowing this makes me wonder even more what might be the cause of my exact two hour delay on push notifications… :s

Indeed the language on your device will be the one on the application.
Could you please be more specific on your issue with the Push notifications?
Are you able to see the push message but when you re-open the app you cannot see the chat message?

The problem I have with the push notifications is really that the chat message displays the wrong time. So I’ll get a push badge for an incoming chat message (say from google talk) and when I open Nimbuzz it displays a time for the incoming message exactly two hours ago.
So I wasn’t sure whether the time displayed was just incorrect, or maybe the push notification had a two hour delay. By doing some testing I found out there’s no delay, the time is just off. Like the app is set for a different time zone than I’m actually in. Really weird. (So at 11am I receive a message, but in the app it’ll display I received the message at 9am)

As a consequense, when I open up chats from my chat history, the messages are all scrambled up, because they are placed in the order of time, but since the time is off, the messages are not in the right order anymore.
You have any idea what could cause this?

lbllmmediatly
txt after30mins
etc etc
if i push the home button on my iphone i dont recieve any push notifications, i go offline
its by defautl on lbllmmediatly

I am german, so my english is not verry good
My Friends has nimbuzz on hos mobil and He can join chatrooms all over the world but i have nimbuzz on my iPod and can just Start a chatroom with One Person from my contacts
Why this?
He can Search for chatrooms but me not
So i can only conversate with One Friends in One chatroom

The chatroom feature is available on Nimbuzz Mobile for Symbian and Java devices, not iPhone or iPod.

My iphones says “push notifications error” and push messages do not work. When i close the app, i get signed out. But I do get push messages from the agenda for instance.
Any help welcome…
