Yahoo calling gets an upgrade

We wanted to give you a quick heads up that Yahoo calling will be unavailable for about 2 weeks.

We will be working on some improvements to the service and that means yahoo calling will be switched off a few hours from now.

In the meantime, please go ahead and use the high quality Nimbuzz to Nimbuzz calling for totally free all over the world.  Need to reach mobile phones and landlines?  Use NimbuzzOut for incredibly cheap international calls.

Also make sure to give the free file sharing a try if you haven’t done so already.  People are always happy to get a picture from you :)

    In order to help you solve this issue, could you let us know the following?
    Which device & Nimbuzz version are you using?
    Are you not able to find the Call option or do you get an error message when trying to place a call?
    Are you trying to call Nimbuzz contacts or from other communities?
    Since when do you experience this issue?

    As you can read in the post above the yahoo calling is currently not available.
    Our Team is working in order to make some changes and improvements in the Yahoo gateway, we will announce it as soon as it is available again.

  18. I hope the groups in yahoo messenger can be shown in nimbuzz. Because many of my friends and also me get troubled by the number of our friends’ im jumbled.

    Furthermore, I hope the chat history records should be improved.

    Another one, can you use the default emoticons by every im service? for example in ym, just let me use the emoticons used by ym, did you get that?

    Last, please provide us HOTKEYS for major functions. Like one click button for the smileys menu.

    My unit is N79 and i’m using the latest version of nimbuzz

    Thanks for your comments and feedback, in regards of your questions:
    1. Yahoo groups if you mean the groups on your contact list, they should appear also when you register your Yahoo account
    2. Chat history is not available yet in all Nimbuzz clients, we are working on that.
    3. At the moment, no, you can use Nimbuzz emoticons, not the ones from Yahoo.
    4. We will consider your suggestion in regards of the Hotkeys

    Yahoo calling should be working at the moment.
    If you still face issues when placing Yahoo calls, please inform us of the following:
    -Which device and Nimbuzz version do you use?
    -Are you able to place a call but have sound/audio issues? Or are you not able to place a call at all?
    -Which client are your contacts using?

    I’M using nimbuzz for a while and it is for HTC HD2, and everything working fine except when I place a call on yahoo messenger, it is ring but the other party can not hear the rings or can not receive my call. And vise versa

  30. Please sort it out yahoo calling issue through nimbuzz.
    Not able to receive call but it rings at other end.
    Same from our end we are calling they dont receive the call even if it rings here on E71 mobile.

  32. Dear Nimbuzz Team…. Please ignore all the comments written in arabic…. I know the language… and those people are only messing with you…. I’m sorry… but they aint nothing but a bunch of retards…. pardon my french…. yet it’s true…. Thanks for working on the issue…. with the yahoo voice… I gave my feedback before with the squeaky sounds people hear on the other end while using yahoo voice powered by Nimbuzz…. I hope you guys find a fix for it soon…. I love you Nimbuzz…. and falling in love with you more and more :)

  33. i am using nokia E71. I can call my other nimbuzz contacts even contacts in yahoo from my mobile…but when my other yahoo contact in india i cannot make a call. He hears me well but i cannot hear him always

    Which type of connection do you use when this happen?
    Does it also happen when placing/receiving calls when using a different Nimbuzz client?
