Great news everyone! Our friends from the OVI blog just published the Top Nokia OVI apps and according to the community Nimbuzz is the second most popular application! Yay!

A few days ago they have used their social media channels(Ovi on Twitter, Ovi on Facebook) to ask everybody “What are your favourite Ovi Store Apps and why?”. Now the result are in and the top 3 selections – not including Ovi Maps, which is a really good choice of its own – are:

Hi, plz help. i cant use nimbuzz on my 5310. After downloadn, n opening applicatn i get ths qstn whether to accept. Goes sth lyk ‘…not from a trusted vendor,accept?’ whn i accept the page opens but says server connexn timed out- retry/cancel? Cnt proceed frm thr. What t do?

Your device is using a Java based version of Nimbuzz.
We do not provide the calling feature on Java and BlackBerry versions, so you cannot place or receive calls.

Nimbuzz previous versions were good, but after installing the new version i often get “connection lost, reconnecting” “number of sessions exceeded, try again later” “oops the facebook/gtalk/yahoo is not working we are looking into it” etc etc. This is irritating, previously i never got such problems.

Coudl you please be more specific?
Are you trying to choose Skype instead of Nimbuzz as your VoiP provider?
If yes, Go to the “Call” tab > Click on the top bar on the “Call” tab > Select SkypeOut as your VoIP provider > Done!
In regards of texting (sending SMS) We do not offer this possibility.

We are aware of issues with FB connection and we are working on Facebook Connect to solve these problems.

I’m using nimbuzz on my nokia N85 model. Before I can receive and make free calls on yahoo or skype. But now my nimbuzz is working ok but I can’t make a call because the call option no have. I can send file, chat but just make a call I can’t do. Please help me on this matter. Tq.

Just want to know if Nimbuzz.java will allow the calling feature ? cause i am using a nokia C3 & cannot call anyone as i have that my audio recorder cannot support a 3rd application party like nimbuzz!

I have an E75 and have downloaded Nimbuzz from Ovi Store. It worked once and in the past one year the account never opened. I removed and reloaded application etc. But whenever I launch it, it gives this message – ‘Welcome to Nimbuzz. Please wait a moment while we connect you’ and just that. Nothing after that. This happens when I had amazing internet speeds as well. Can you help?

Android version 2.2, droid incredible, nimbuzz 2.0.1 build 9436.9513.

making calls via msn and yahoo buddy list isnt working, once the other person pick up the call it just drop. even via nimbuzz list.

I m having Nokia 5800xm. When i call from nimbuzz to anyone, it says connection problem. It says VOIP AUDIO TRAFFIC MAY BE BLOCKED ON YOUR CURRENT INTERNET CONNECTION. but when i still make a call, call is connected but there is no voice heard….. Pls help me out. Do i have to change some settings or what….?

Please check directly with your network provider, it seems they might be
blocking the use of VoIp apps and calling on their end.

Note that the Call option is not available for contacts that use the Nimbuzz Blackberry or Java version, because VoIP caling is not available on these versions.
Do you have the Call option enabled on other contacts?

Hi! I find it uneasy 2 make free calls on my nimbuzz. Anytime i make an attempt 2 do so, it always says insufficient credit. And it gives me 3 options: buy credit, info on nimbuzz out and rate calculator. I only undrstnd d first option but d remaining two r far 4rm my knwldge. Hw do i get d credit is my request now?

You can buy credits from our website or within the Nimbuzz application:
Go to the “Call” tab > Click on the top bar on the “Call” tab > Select NimbuzzOut as your VoIP provider> Click on Buy Credit > Follow the instructions on screen

To buy credits using NimbuzzOut for PC, click on your NimbuzzOut balance in the top right corner of the client and select the “Buy NimbuzzOut Credit”. You will automatically be taken to the NimbuzzOut buying page.

Please double check that you have allowed the usage of third party apps on your Applications manager.

Hi! Why does my nimbuzz does not play any sound on any notifications? I’ve already maxed out the volume. I’m using Nimbuzz 1.9.3 on Nokia C3.
