Motorola Shadow Specs Unveiled

Early specs about features are great to help you make up your mind about buying a phone already available or saving money for the next cool phone. It also gives you an idea on the next big thing and mobile trends.

The latest mobile prototype from Motorola has been  misplaced in a corporate Verizon gym in Washington. Lucky for us, somebody found the “Shadow” and took a picture of it before retuning it to it’s rightful owners [guess the iPhone 4G was a pretty good lesson for everybody :) ].

Here are the first specs of the Motorola Shadow:

  • 8MP Camera
  • 720p video recording
  • 4.3-inch screen
  • 16GB of internal storage
  • Snapdragon processor
  • most likely running on FroYo

What can we learn from all this, what are the mobile trends?

  1. 8MP cameras will probably be the new standard for smartphones in 2010. So far there are 3 great smartphones that set the benchmark here for everybody else: HTC EVO, HTC Incredible and Motorola Shadow. As we can see smartphones are slowly going after the feature phones market share, adding besides the super capable OS some really neat hardware features.
  2. Snapdragon processors are the new mobile standard. The low power consumption processors are optimized  for day-long battery life and soon we will notice them in more and more Android and Windows mobile phones.
  3. FroYo is taking off.  The new Android update we will be new standard for the Android mobiles and with goodies like Adobe Flash support, speed improvement and USB Tethering I can only say: Oh yeah! :D

And since we have talked a lot about Android if you are looking for some cool apps for you Android mobile here is something that might help: Best apps for Android mobiles (Motorola Droid, HTC Magic, HTC Hero and others)
