Nimbuzz: Top choice for Ovi users

Good news again from our friends over at the Ovi Store. Nimbuzz was voted by the second most useful app in the Ovi Store, second only to Nokia’s Ovi Maps. Thanks for the vote everyone ;) !

Nimbuzz was previously crowned as the the second most popular application overall, and picked as “Must Have Social Networking app of the year” in the “OVI Daily App” awards.

  1. The only reason people have voted for Nimbuzz is because most of them haven’t realised that you have removed the facility to restore contacts. I voted for you in that survey but then last night I had the painful discovery that you removed the most useful part of the app and I most certainly would not vote for Nimbuzz again. Ever.

  2. I have to admit that nimbuzz gTalk voice call to gTalk client work painfully.
    Fring/gTalk voice call to gTalk client work much fine and better quality.

    Hope nimbuzz some time in the future restore XMPP gateway and improve XMPP Jingle voice call.

    Right now, from any s60, nimbuzz gTalk Voice call is useless.

    We do not officially support Symbian UIQ Operating System.
    We do support some of those devices but we offer a Java version of Nimbuzz.

  9. Nimbuzz is growing more and more, it is very challenging, specially for a social mobile application. I sense that nimbuzz is the facebook of mobile phone. I always felt if you are a mobile user, nimbuzz is way to go. If you are a pc user, so maybe facebook. Since i have privacy concern, i’d say nimbuzz. Just see in this chart, nimbuzz is second, and facebook is nearly last. That is a positive sign for the company efforts and investment.

    thanks for making it real time on our handsets.
    But there is one thing i wish to notify nimbuzz..that not all of ma friends especially those of fb appear on ma home page..even when they are online..could you help me so that iwill be able to see all of them?otherwise thumbs up nimbuzz!

    Thanks for informing us.
    How many Facebok contacts do you have?
    Note we do have a limitation and Nimbuzz does not display more than 400 Facebook contacts.
    Let us know if you have less than 400 contacts and you still have trouble to see them all on your list.

Why cant nimbuzz automatically update new friend a user added on parent network but unless u sign out of the network u added the friend and resign in again before it would update the contact list.e.g if i add a friend on yahoo mesenger nd i log in to my ninbuzz acount,my yahoo contact wil not be update until i sign out yahoo nd resign in again before my contact get updated.

    This is the way the application works at the moment, in order to refresh your contact list and load contacts you have added on other Im clients, you need to unregister and register again that community.

  19. I very like ninbuzz, Now i am living in U.A.E. Here before 10 days nimbuzz to gtalk was very well working, but here now very bad quality cant here anything please solve this issue as soon as possiblewhat happen nimbuzz voice as a zero quality with google talk completely dead, please solve asap, so i very like nimbuzz, thanks, we are waiting.

    We are aware of VoIP blocking in the UAE, which is an initiative from the
    government together with the Telecommunications Authorities.
    Unfortunately due to these reasons we cannot guarantee that VoIP
    calling will work for you. We recommend you to try to call using other
    network to test if it helps before purchasing credits.
