Because of conflicts in the MVNO space with our sister company Gadu-Gadu in Poland, we kindly switched off support for their services inside Nimbuzz. This is in an effort to increase use of Gadu-Gadu’s own mobile product.

Hey BlackBerry fans, we released a new Nimbuzz update. You can get it from AppWorld or via Nimbuzz.com.
The new Nimbuzz 1.3.3.1 fixes the Facebook registration loop and also the keypad not appearing on BB touch devices. Besides these we fixed other 59 bugs and made small performance and connection improvements.
Enjoy it on your BB 9700 Bold, BB Storm, BB Torch, BB 8520 or any other BB device.

Last year we organized a contest for our NimbuzzOut users to win: a fantastic holiday to their most called destination and one year of unlimited NimbuzzOut calls on us.
Lars and Mark were the happy winners and we thought would be nice to catch up with them and see how they use Nimbuzz as a part of their daily lives.
Turns out they use Nimbuzz and NimbuzzOut to save money on their calling bill and stray connected to family and friends.
Lars, originally from Denmark met his French wife in England. Now they both live in Syria. Due to their international roots they are both calling friends and family in Denmark, France, Algeria, as well as in other countries. Lars told me: “So for a couple like us that are very “globalised”, an application like Nimbuzz is great. My wife also found that your rates for Algeria are better than those of Skype! 
” . He won the first prize and we offered him a voucher to cover his holiday expenses, but instead of using all the amount at once he divided the voucher and had several smaller vacations and a longer one in Istanbul 
.
Mark is originally from America and now lives in Panama. A lot of his friends and family are still in the US and Mark told us that he regularly uses NimbuzzOut to call his friends and stay in touch with his family back home. Mark still has another month and a half of free NimbuzzOut calling.
And…(drums rolling) …YES! Nimbuzz is the second most popular Twitter account in Netherlands.
Yesterday we over passed the 300.000 twitter followers milestone and we are thrilled. The previous milestone was back in August when we announced 200.000 twitter followers. This means that in only 3 months 100.000 people were convinced we are worth following .

Over the last two weeks we have been chatting with the guys from ICQ about an agreement to continue support for the ICQ community on Nimbuzz. The final offer was to enter a licensing agreement that would see Nimbuzz pay for every person wishing to use ICQ on Nimbuzz.
This would mean that we’d have to pass the cost on to our users, which would be against our principle of making Nimbuzz available to anyone for free. We are sorry to let you know that we have officially switched off support of ICQ on Nimbuzz.
However, we will continue to offer Nimbuzz and all of our services free of charge to everyone in the world. What that means is that you can continue to use your existing Nimbuzz account to stay connected to your friends, make free calls and chat as much as humanely possible.
