Facebook Connnect redirect on java Feature phones

We said we will stay away from the blog, but we can’t .

We have a short announcement for our users with Java feature phones. Starting from 31 of December 2010 until 11 of January 2011, if you want to connect to Facebook on Nimbuzz, you will be redirected to my.nimbuzz.com, to login into your FB account via your computer. Once done your Facebook friends will show up on your mobile.

This is a temporary solution until we can integrate Facebook Connect into our app. Please bare with us.

Truly I’m not familiar with the Facebook , but I’m wondering about two things :
1 . As you may not know I’m an arabian user . My question is : Why I can not register with an arabic name ( arabic letters I mean ) ?
2 . Can you please tell me which java ( jar ) version is compatible with Nokia 5630 x pressMusic , I know about the ( sis ) files for 5630 , but I need to know if there’s a compatible java app for my 5630 ? Thank you in advance

As mentioned previously, We are aware that there might be issues connecting to Facebook from some mobile devices. Nimbuzz is working directly with Facebook on a solution for this problem. In the mean as a workaround you can register your Facebook account on my.nimbuzz.com on your computer. You can sign out ang go back to the application on your phone. Once you have registered Facebook there it will also work on your phone.

1. It is currently not possible to create a Nimbuzz account using non alphanumerical characters.
2. We recommend you to install the Java version available on our site http://www.nimbuzz.com/en/mobile/pc/install

I’m always using nimbuzz for chat with my all friends from version 1 until now version 3. at the previous version 2.4 it’s working in good condition (never disconnect every 2 minute like using version 3). Why it’s happened? It’s very annoying. I’m always try to looking in web the previous version 2.4 but i can’t find it. Could you please give me the installer for nimbuzz version 2.4, i’m so dissapointed with version 3. Thks

Hi, I tried 2 connect my F/Book Acct. via NIMBUZZ bt it isn’t workin, it kips tellin me 2 visit my.nimbuzz.com on my desktop. So far I’ve registered via desktop wit dsame username n password n 2 no avail, I’m usin Nokia 3500c…help me out pls.

Nimbuzz Chatroom is available on Nimbuzz Mobile for Java and Symbian, we do not have plans to implement it in other platforms in the near future.

Have you tried to point ur PC browser to my.nimbuzz.com and login your FB account there. Then close the page and login back on Nimbuzz on your phone.

You can register yourself after downloading, pressing on the link that says “get a new account” or at our website http://www.nimbuzz.com/en/web/login

Once you have created your account and you are logged in, you can go to Communities and register your accounts.

I registard @ my.nimbuzz.com n d problem persists (it disconects me). i cant access my fb account cos it says i tried 2 log in thru an unfamiliar application. Now i’ ve deregistard my fb account frm nimbuzz, i use a nokia 7210 supernova. What next should i do?

Can you tell me why nimbuzz has removed the buzzing option and group chat options in mobile nimbuzz, this were the very helpfull options? And why we are not able to make calls from symbian to java based mobiles through nimbuzz?

i have a problem and need help plz
i was on yahoo messenger last nite and my webcam was on and i didnt on my cam since and in the morning i went online for few mins and left, i came back online in the afternoon and my wife was on nimbuzz and we talked for a while and suddenly she told me my cam was on while it was off and then 2 mins later she said my cam went off, is it possible its a problem from nimbuzz that happened and that it showed my webcam on and then off witout it ever being on

Make sure you have on your FB privacy settings the option “allow to connect from third party apps” enabled.

Mrs. Queralt am happy that nimbuzz is working on buzzing option and hope so soon we will get that buzz option in new updated version.. But what about the call option for symbian and java version mobile so that we can call java to symbian and symbian to java? Hope u will look into this matter also thank you…

Hi, I am using Micromax Q7. i have upgraded the nimbuzz to 1.8.3. Till then i was able to chat with my friends. But after upgrading the nimbuzz to 1.8.3 i am not view any online friends and if try to connect to communities from my mobile…. it will not connect…..

Your device uses a Java version of Nimbuzz which does not include the calling feature.

You can add your FB account under your communities on Nimbuzz.
If this does not work, we recommend you to point your PCbrowser to my.nimbuzz.com and login your FB account there. Then close the page and login back on Nimbuzz on your phone.

Having terrible problem using facebook via nimbuzz.Every time i try to log in nimbuzz the facebook goes in offline mode.When i then try to open facebook from pc it everytime shows you’ve an unusual log in activity and the location shows rotterdam,NL.Even though i click this is okay tab in facebook it again shows unusal activity at once i try open facebook via nimbuzz..That way i’m not being able to use facebook in nimbuzz..Please help..Regards..Rajarshi roy,kolkata,india..Using nokia n70 music edition and have a bsnl connection.

In regards of the unusual activity: You receive this warning because Facebook identifies that you are connecting through a different location than the one you are normally used to, and this unusual activity is warned by Facebook as a hacking attempt. This happens due to the way Nimbuzz connects you and we can guarantee that there are no security risks evolved on it.

I have install nimbuzz on my blackberry pearl 8100 but it is not work. Testing your connection is the only thing that show on the phone. What should I do to make it work.

Could you please change the following settings in the Nimbuzz application?

Select Menu > Settings > Connection Type > HTTP

In case you know your connection type select manually the Start – up Connection also.

I used nimbuz version started July last year, I forgot what version it is. And it was dsconnected my facebook acct frm the communities earlier yesterday February 1 at around 7:00 o’clock am! Pls help me to reconnect it again… Thank you so much…

Sorry! Its me again adel… I forgot to till you what dvice i’m using… I’m using sony ericssom w705. And I used the version frm july last year and I forgot already what version you launch during that month. The facebook act dsconncted frm the communities yesterday february 1 at 7:00 am! Pls connect it again thank you…

If you are using an old version from last year, we strongly recommend you to download the latest available 1.9 and try to register your FB connect afterwards.
FB won’t be working if you are using Nimbuzz Java version 1.5 or previous to that one.

Hello,i have been using nimbuzz successfully on my phone nokia 2700 classic for close to 3weeks suddenly 4days ago nimbuzz stop opening on my phone.its reply is ‘connection failed’ always.i deleted the version i have and downloaded another one it gave me the same response.
