NEW: Nimbuzz for Java with invisible mode, faster login & less data consumption!

We are happy to let you know that a new version of Nimbuzz (1.9.2) is ready for download on your Java enabled mobile phone.

The new version is packed with useful features that will help you manage better your online presence.

Here are the new features:

  • Invisible mode – to appear invisible to your Nimbuzz contacts while you are actually online.
  • New Notifiable icon - for contacts that have the app closed but are available via push notification or Ping.
  • Mandatory phone number verification for chat-rooms
  • Faster login
  • Less data consumption We expect that on average you will consume 50% less data, and depending on how you use Nimbuzz, this could get save you an amazing 70% in data used.

Now let’s talk a bit more about the new features:

The Notifiable icon is the one with a check mark in the middle stands for Notifiable and it is used only for Nimbuzz contacts that closed Nimbuzz app but can still receive push (on the iPhone)  or  Ping notifications (on the Java and Symbian phones).

To improve your chatting experience we made it mandatory for everybody to have a verified phone number in order to access the chat rooms. This way we can restrict access to anyone who floods or post inappropriate content.

We also fixed the connectivity issues you have reported and the bugs you found.

If you have any suggestions or want to report any issue you might find in the new version please let us know.

    i like the nimbuzz a lot and so i switched into it from many other mobile messengers viz. Ebuddy, Mig33 and Eqo. But still i cant depend fully on nimbuzz because of following issues or drawbacks in nimbuzz.

    – nimbuzz doesn’t have a buzz option, the one we can send in yahoo and msn messenger. Its a handy tool to have

    – i have more than one yahoo account but nimbuzz allows the registration to only 1 account so i have to use ebuddy to use both of em simultaneously.

    – if we could selectively sign in or sign out a particular account like i may want to be online only in my yahoo but nimbuzz makes me online in every accounts that i have registered.

    Hope you will think of these issues and i know you will be awarded the best im software again in 2012. Good luck.

  5. I love using Nimbuzz, but am ALWAYS FRUSTRATED when I cant log in with the issue being that I cant be connected to the Nimbuzz server.

    Kindly look into that, cause am really addicted to Nimbuzz and its pure toture for me if I cant connect to chat.

    We found out that some users can be blocked by the community beacuse of a big number of login attempts in a short periode of time. Yahoo! blocks the user temporarily that exceeded the login attempt limit, then after a period of time those get unblocked.
    When you receive this error message try directly to login with Yahoo! itself and check if your account is still active. This doesn’t count for the web-version of Yahoo!

    Since you have added great feature of appear offline for even Nimbuzz contacts, cant you add such feature for Facebook account?
    We can appear offline in Yahoo, Gtalk etc…
    But we are forced to be always online in Facebook which is sometimes annoying.

  23. Hi, thank you all for your feedback, we really take a look at all your problems and suggestions -and of course also the positive feedback ;)-, but in order to fix the problems we need you to be more specific when reporting them, that’s why we ask so many questions ;).

    Sometimes when we add new features, some problems might arise, that’s where you play an important part. One example of reporting a problem that we can investigate could be:

    “Hi there, I tried the new version of Nimbuzz 1.9.2 in my Samsung XXXX and it throws me this error “Invalid Java Application” when installing and it would’n install. What can I do? I’m in India, my carrier is Idea and I got the new version from get.nimbuzz.com”

I am using IPhone 4, Both wifi and 3G, i relay thanks for the Nimbuzz software. its doing a great job. for that i would like to add one more feature. i am using Nimbuzz with Nimgo voip provider. After i connected my Bluetooth head set to my iPhone and dial phone number the sound cannot hear from Bluetooth head set only on the Phone. Please upgrade the software to enable to hear from Bluetooth Head set.

    i hav d java version which works fine.but since wave is BADA powered,cant u make nimbuzz for BADA OS?it will be a great hit coz BADA has the potential but it has not been used to d fullest by any app xcept for some 3d games.
    I request u to make NIMBUZZ for BADA OS.

  38. Simple.. I upgraded to the new 1.9.2 version on my NOKIA X3-02. When syncing contact list as part of login i get ” your phone doesn’t have enough free memory to complete this operation…..”
    Why am i receving this error? why is there no one answering questions properly, and why do yo not have few previous versions available for update?

    You would think these are things that can make you service better and more user-friendly to the million of people you cater to and want to cater to… since you know everyones phones are not going to work correct all the time!!!

    i have also sent email’s to your support over some-time now and still nothing!!

    like your guys service and all but c’mon think yous can think thru alternative options and solutions for your troubled customers!!

We have the wap version for some devices in which you can chat with your buddies but the chatroom feature the call feature are not available. We suggest you to try the wap version just pointing your mobile browser to wap.nimbuzz.com

    The connection type I use is- Automatic.
    The nimbuzz version is-1.9.2.
    It starts to reconnect – somtimes, before logging, sometimes after.
    The erro message I get is- urgh, connection to Nimbuzz’s remote server could not be established.
    The version was downlnaded via- get.nimbuzz.com.
    I am located in Lagos, Nigeria.
    My phone model is Nokia 2680 slide.
    My network, service provider is etisalat.
    My phone number is +2348096917216.

    The memory problem you are having is the heap memory (is like RAM for PCs), if you have many applications running, you can close some and it should work.

    Did you add more contacts before you got this error message?

    The more contacts you have the more memory is used.

    If this is the case, you can try login in to Nimbuzz from PC or Web (for example), remove some contacts (maybe a community) and then try again with your phone.

Well i use a GBRS zain connection..and i tried to download it from http://www.nimbuzz.com and from getjar..and downloaded 1.9.2 version…i downloaded it but once i open it ,it tells me ”java error” and shuts down..i tried to download previous versions but i couldn’t..i live in sudan..i don’t think that it’s a connection problem..

    I have just installed Nimbuzz 1.9.3 on my Sony Ericsson w880i. When I try to run Nimbuzz I get the following error – “The application uses too much memory”.

    I believe I have the application sitting on the memory stick and my memory stick has 618MB free (my phone memory has 11MB free).

    Is there something I can do to get Nimbuzz to work on my phone?

    Thanks for informing us. If you get “not enough memory” as an error, this might be cause some devices like yours sometimes do not have enough memory to run or support Nimbuzz application.
    We are looking into this issue and working in order to find a work-around for future releases, in the meantime please use the Wap version on your mobile browser going to wap.nimbuzz.com

I am using IPhone 4, Both wifi and 3G, i relay thanks for the Nimbuzz software. its doing a great job. for that i would like to add one more feature. i am using Nimbuzz with Nimgo voip provider. After i connected my Bluetooth head set to my iPhone and dial phone number the sound cannot hear from Bluetooth head set only on the Phone. Please upgrade the software to enable to hear from Bluetooth Head set.

    If you get “not enough memory” as an error, this might be cause some devices like yours sometimes do not have enough memory to run or support Nimbuzz application.
    That’s why we have the wap version for some devices in which you can chat with your buddies but the chatroom feature the call feature are not available.

  115. @bazaraa – Yahoo can block access to your IM account via Nimbuzz, if it detects a lot of unsuccessful login attempts in a short period of time. You can unblock your account by following these steps:

    Try to login into your Yahoo account from your web browser (http://yahoo.com) directly. After a few minutes logoff from yahoo and try to add your yahoo account back to Nimbuzz. In case you still face any issue, please reach out to support@nimbuzz.com
