Nimbuzz opens messenger API and introduces Chat Buddy Developers Program

Hey guys, its good news for everybody – Today we announce the opening up of our Messenger API with the launch of Chat Buddy Developer Program (CBDP).

This initiative is expected to help brands, publishers, and independent developers get access to the 90 million Nimbuzz users from across 200+ countries. The CBDP allows developers to build chat buddies across various verticals such as Cricket, astrology, shopping, games, news, besides utilities such as ticketing, movie reviews, classifieds, etc.

To develop your own chat buddies you just have to visit the following page http://developers.nimbuzz.com and start building buddies.

Need help? To handhold the developers, trying to gain the first mover advantage on one of the biggest mobile platforms we also have provided a Manual.

  3. @frager – Currently we do not have a native Bada Operating System version. We are constantly trying to add more devices to our list of supported handsets. In the mean time, we encourage you to try to download the Java version directly from get.nimbuzz.com as some Bada devices are compatible with our Nimbuzz Java version.   6. @satyanarayna varma – You can use the capture picture feature under send file while sending a file to other contact. You can also view the same feature under change avatar if you wish to upload the profile picture.

  10. Hai i am from india. I am using nokia E72. When I put 2g mode my call option is disabled.. I cant make calls. Its vry bad. Pls make it ok nimbuzz. Before it was good.

Hi Aisha, I just want to ask if there’s any hope of nimbuzz releasing a symbian belle version that supports video call. i’m planning to buy nokia pureview to replace my n8, but if nimbuzz will have a hardtime releasing a symbian belle version that supports video call then i think i’ll just wait for the new iphone to come out

  19. @aaliya – Calling is currently supported on Android, iPhone and Nokia Symbian S60 3rd &5th generation devices. Due to technical limitations we do not support calling on Java & BlackBerry based devices.

  20. @farzane – You can try and remove the Nimbuzz application from your device and re-install the latest version of Nimbuzz from get.nimbuzz.com. In case you still face any issue please confirm the following details:

    – What device model and Nimbuzz version are you using?
    – What type of connection are you using? What is the provider/operator?
    – Do you get any error message?
    – When does this error message exactly appear? Are you using an specific feature?
    – From which site did you download the application?
    – In which country are you located?

    Select the contact you want to call and from options select call
    or
    scroll to the contact you want to call and from the pop select call

  25. Hi friends, we all want u to allow stylish id creating feature again. All are begging for ids and many people selling symbol ids. Everybody wants to use id with the own name with stylish fonts. Stylish id creating wil encourage users much. Please allow again creating stylish id and lauch nimbuzz video chat feature on symbian and android also. Thanks

    i have downloaded nimbuzz for my pc but the call option is disabled here. Again i have downloaded it and it shows the same problem. Even when i tried in my mob, it shows call is disabled. Not able to make calls… kindly help to solve this issue ASAP…

  28. @nishana – Calling is currently available only on Symbian, Android, iphone and PC. The contact whom you want to call should also be using either of these device. As you have already tried with your PC there is a high possibility that the other contact is on a different device. Java, Blackberry and Windows phone does not support calling. Thanks!!
