Hey there,

The much awaited & anticipated Symbian update is here !

We appreciate the patience with which you have been looking forward to this release. In this release we have bundled many improvements along with cool features to make the Nimbuzz experience even better!

So without much ado, let us take you through the latest update for Nimbuzz Symbian client (version 3.4).

What is new in this release:

  • Chatrooms with Location & Language Filters
  • Touch improvements
  • Bengali language support
  • Feedback page

Chat rooms with Location & Language filters – Chat rooms are our users’ favourite feature and we have made this experience better by introducing new filters. You can now sort and search rooms based on languages & location. This helps you get to the intended room in an easier and faster manner. No more scrolling through the list of rooms.. just set the filter as per your wish and get going!

Touch Screen improvements – For our users on touch screen Symbian devices, here are some of the goodies that we have introduced in this release –

  • Swipe through tabs – Move quickly between tabs by swiping left or right
  • Single touch – Single touch gets things done – fast and easy. Tap once to enter Chats or enter Dialler
  • Split screen keyboard – Makes typing easy as a breeze

Bengali language support – We have introduced Bengali language support for Nimbuzz

Feedback page – This is our favorite! :D

    Thank you for giving us such an awesome messenger. The UI and menu option in Nimbuzz is superb and so friendly.

    Nowadays am facing a problem with Nimbuzz is that its often getting disconnected. Not sure if it’s a problem with my service provider, still I request you to check it from your side and make sure you are clear. Am a Nokia e72 user.

  2. @Nissan Ahmed – We have introduced this feature in our application. However, you need a device which supports Bangla Language in order to use the Nimbuzz application with Bangla support.

HI nimbuzz i am facing problem with new version of nimbuzz , i have Nokia e 71 , when ever try to enter any chat room from mobile it says ” a user with your name is already present in this chat room ” i tried to uninstall install again but still same and as you know we don’t have nimbuzz pc chat rooms option any more , please i need help .

    Nimbuzz works well on my e71 with facebook & is a very nice messenger. However, it never connects with yahoo no matter how many times I try. Is Nimbuzz having a beef with yahoo? Kindly check and rectify. – obi from Lagos, naija

  7. Hi , i have a nokia n73 , my nimbuzz is updated , but i can’t see the picture of some users , although i can see the same pictures on pc nimbuzz ! Please help me ! And another problem : i can’t clear mx display picture ! This eror : picture can not be cleared , please try again later ! It is 2days i am trying to clear it !

  8. I am using Nimbuzz for Nokia 6630. For many releases Twitter direct messages does not work on Nimbuzz. And for this one too. I can never see my dm box. Is it because of Twitter? On my twitter account application page, it writes that Nimbuzz doesn’t have access to my direct messages. Aren’t you able to fix this? Thanks for your patience.

  9. @cool_momi – We have introduced the Nimbuzz application with Bangla support. To use this application with Bangla Language you need a device which supports Bangla language. If your device is not compatible with Bangla Language you will not be able to use the application with Bangla support.

  11. @Obinna – Yahoo blocks access to your IM account via Nimbuzz, if it detects a lot of unsuccessful login attempts in a short period of time. You can do the following in order to unlock your Yahoo account and use it via Nimbuzz: Try to login into your Yahoo account from your web browser (http://www.yahoo.com), then add the Yahoo account on Nimbuzz after sometime it should start working fine.

    sir, I have nokia c5-00 handset. sir i am facing some problems in new nimbuzz. Chat rooms are not gud. u type msg after 10 15 seconds. u feel that msg gone in room. chat rooms looks very slow. scond problem is dc.

    i cant send any multimedia files from my phone to my contacts! is got an error that says: unknown servers error occurred!
    nothing! i used all type of pictures,with small size! (7KB)
    and when i send files with my PC,no one can get them! they aren’t downloadable!
    what should i do!
    i use the latest version in both PC and Phone!
    i have Nokia 5320 X press Music!

It is on our roadmap, to provide this feature to other platforms as well, but unfortunately we cannot provide you with a fix date for it to be implemented.   23. I do enjoy Nimbuzz for my chatting and tweeting experience. But I suggest that an update option be included in the sign-in page for the benefit of users that may forget their log-in details reset.

    Ur services are fantastic. Its a great feel using latest version. Everythng is fantastic. The UI is better. I like the new large online icons. There is no hesitation saying this that Nimbuzz is one of the best applicatin in Symbian.

  30. Hi, In all earlier versions, yahoo pingbox users (website visitors) are not being able to chat via nimbuzz yahoo. We just receive their message as guest but they do not receive our messages sent via nimbuzz yahoo. Have we sorted this out in this new release?

  35. I m from india, using nimbuzz on nokia e71 with network vodafone. problem is. when entered chatroom impossible to go back on home page, only option is disconnect internet and relogin..nimbuzz version is 3.4.0

    i am having problem in nimbuzz to nimbuzz call
    i have nokia e72,it was working very fine up to now but from today its giving problem.
    Whenever i call any nimbuzz contact after some seconds my mobile switching off and restarts again…so what could be the problem.

  42. I can not open chats.
    on the start screen chats option is grey and i can not select it.
    I can select other options (contacts, twitter etc) but can not open chats.
    I’m using nokia e72 and nimbuzz 3.4.0(5337)

  43. Why nimbuzz 3.4 symbian doesn’t display the detail in profile of friend’s profile? Unlike nimbuzz 3.3 symbian. pls add Receive files as Icon and download files directly inside Nimbuzz. I mean, like: Favorite. Contacts. Chat. Receive files. Dial numbers. Recent calls. My Info. N-world. Group chat. I want to download the file directly on Nimbuzz, not in the mobile browser. :)

  51. nimbuzz new version didn`t works fine on nokia 6124c symbian mobile. It closes when we search chat room and also during chat. Please fix it.

  55. This new update is great, thank you very much, I just would like to point to two important things:

    1- In symbian belle, belle fp1 and belle refresh the nimbuzz voice call volume gets too low, that even if you push volume up to the max, it’s still low, at least compared to the last version that was running on belle with the full screen bug.

    2-I really really hope that we sending files I can access some sort of organized file browser, not to see all my files in a single list (tried on belle, belle fp1 and belle refresh also)

Hai…i am using kis c5-05 hand set and i cant call via nimbuzz…no calling option thr in the menu….wen i am downloading nimbuzz did’t install voip app….i am tried again and again but same prblm occured…i am using nimbuzz symbian latest version…only the prblm is cant call via gtalk,nimbz,yahoo…plzz help me

  58. Thanks for your great support, and I would like to feedback another bug, when I choose mp3 song for my nimbuzz ring tone and nimbuzz call rings, it only plays the first couple of seconds of the mp3 and then keeps repeat that portion only.

In order to make calls to mobile phones across the globe you need to set up Nimbuzzout and configure the settings accordingly.   72. @ahmedali68 – In order to make a call you need to make sure that the other contact is also using a device which is compatible and supports Nimbuzz calling. If he is using a Java, Blackberry or windows phone the call icon will be disabled for this contact. Thanks!!

  75. I use Nimbuzz 3.4.0 on my Nokia e52 / Symbian s60 v3 FP2 exclusively for external SIP/VoIP calls.

    It works well on wiFi / 3G / EDGE, but it always stops voice transfer after 65s of the call.

    It happens on all of the above connection methods.

    Do you have any hint to avoid that ?

  81. @arash – Nimbuzz Symbian Certificate error workaround
    Hi All Symbian Nimbuzzers,
    As some of you have been noticing an error while installing Nimbuzz on their devices. The errors can be “ Certificate expired ”, “ Update error ” OR “ Required Application access not granted ”. The problem is caused due to a Nokia authentication certificate, which expired on 20 th Oct 2012. Due to which, Nimbuzz cannot be installed on few old devices which still contain this expired certificate. We are closely working with Nokia in getting this sorted asap!
    This error is caused because of the security measures introduced into the new version of Symbian Series 60 mobile operating system disallowing installation of old applications and invalid certificates.
    Additional facts:
    1. This issue does not affect ALL users . Only certain users who are using Symbian 3 rd edition devices and the devices which are pretty old(2007 era)
    2. The security measures are not introduced in new version on Symbian S60. There have been there since 2006-2007 time frame
    In the meanwhile you can try the below steps to get it back running:
    For removing this error please follow the below mention steps –
    1. Open your mobile main Menu
    2. Navigate to Settings -> General -> Date and time
    3. Now change the date to some months before(in our case it should be before 21st Oct, just take 1st Sept.)
    4. Now download and install the application
    5. Don’t forget to change date back to original date
    If the problem still persists :
    *. Go to Application Manager > Options > Settings and
    *. Set “ Online Certificate check ” = Off and Software Installation = All
    UPDATE: If you own an older phone you might receive the following error:
    “ Installation security error. Unable to install ”
    To solve this error and to install application navigate to Tools -> Options ->Setting -> Software Installation and change setting to OFF .

    Choose the contact>>Click Contact>>Press Call from options

    Nimbuzz>>Contact and Accounts>>Add Contact>>Select Community>>Enter Username
