Hi All,

Update: The following issues are now fixed:
- Arabic Chatrooms
- Create Chatroom crash
- Issues when launching Nimbuzz after an upgrade
Download the latest Android client from Google Play.

We are very excited to bring to you the latest release of our Android client. Most notably this release brings the Chatrooms functionality, which we know you all have been very keenly waiting for So without much ado, go ahead and start your Chatrooms experience on your Android phones and have fun chatting!

Apart from Chatrooms, there is tons of enhancements coming with this release. Here are a few of those:

Now you do not need to skim through tons to apps to find and open Nimbuzz. Use the Nimbuzz shortcut on the homescreen to launch it easily.

You can now search for friends who are already using Nimbuzz. Use the Search Nimbuzz directory feature to connect with friends on Nimbuzz. So go ahead…Search, Connect and Communicate!

Those of you who have been using the NimbuzzOut calling will appreciate the improvement we have done in the credits purchase flow. Now you can initiate a credit purchase right from the dialer. No more going through multiple options to do the same!

Another improvement you would notice and love in the calling experience is that Nimbuzz calling is now integrated with the device calling flow. You can now directly call a number from anywhere on the device via Nimbuzz.

You want to share a picture you just clicked with a friend on Nimbuzz? Now Share Multimedia content directly from the gallery(or anywhere in the device for that matter) via Nimbuzz.

And hey did i forget to mention the much improved Connectivity? I am sure you are going to love the uninterrupted Nimbuzz usage.

Hi . .
Chatrooms !! It’s about time .
there is a problem though .. everytime I try to creat a room the app closes unexpectedly, also now it tells me that there is a new update 2.2.1 !! But in google play store the 2.2.0 is still there !
My phone is Galaxy S II .
as fot the chatrooms i find very boring .. no pictures !! also i like the simple layout with colors better than the bubles one ..

Hello Mukesh sir, u provide nice update.. bt u forget 1 thing is still no tab available between chat. also 1 bug in this update is notification not working while chating. notification coming when on idel screen. bt not coming when chat is active..

ok im usen SONY ERICSSON W8 WITH ANDROID 2.3.7…NOW THE PROBLEM IS USED NIMBUZZ 2.1.1 WORKED GOOD COULD RECIVE CALL BUT CANT MAKE CALLS AS I COULD NOT USE MY DIALER NOR CALL OPTION ON ANY USER..TRYD ECO TEST IT SAYS MY OPERATOR HAS BLOCKED VOIP CALLS. OK FINE..UPDATED TO VER 2.2.1 N NOW WEN EVER MY FRNDS CALL FROM SAUDI OR OTHA COUNTRY WEN I CLICK ON ACCEPT CALL THE CALL GETS ENDED AFTA 1 SECOND…MY FRND FROM.INDIA CALLD ME AGAIN SAME EVERY TIME I CLICK ACCEPT THE CALL GETS ENDED NOW I SWITCHD BAK TO 2.1.1 NIMBUZZ STILL THE SAME PROBLEM.. :’(

That’s very nice …I was waiting for it from many months…If all these new features work like I desired then it will be so good…Now video chat is the only thing I miss in Nimbuzz for Android…

I am facing some problem in getting Nimbuzz as Play Store is block in Pakistan…Can anyone suggest me how to get this…

Still this problem .. it crashes everytime i try to creat a room ! Also i can’t see whos talkin to me when I’m in a chatroom !

I m facing few problem there in nimbuzz android 2.2.1 when i wanna creat chat room it force closed..and when i staying long time in chat room its force closing…i m using 2g network on my samsung galaxy y phone, i downloaded from google play and i m from Bangladesh..plz also add chat room user picture option….tnx for added chat room option:-)

@abed itani – We are already working on resolving the notification issue where you do not receive a notification for any message sent by a third contact while you are in chat. However, we have removed the option of notification while you are chatting and you receive a message from the same contact because we do not want you to continuously receive a notification even when you are already chatting with that contact. Ok solution found after instalng 2.2.1 u need to clear data n reboot 4n . Chatrum works now without crash. + wats new in 2.2.2 update nw ?

Since the upgrade the app began to fail.

1. Its very important: Issue where you do not receive a notification for any message sent by a third contact while you are in chat. Fix That.

2. Its very important: When you click on the notification the conversation does not go. Just shows all conversations. The previous version was fine. Version 2.1.1.

3. The app is very slowly since upgrade. The contacts loaded slower and conversations are very slow.

I prefer a Nimbuzz whitout chatrooms but working as version 2.1.1.

If you can not leave the app as it was removed those updates and put the link of the version Nimbuzz 2.1.1 that I want to install it you could not handle the upgrade plz remove the upgrape and put the link of version Nimbuzz 2.1.1 or fix that errors.

@ashish – We do not remove contacts or make changes to a user account from our end. Only you or anyone with access to your account must have removed your accounts. Unfortunately, we cannot provide the list as we do not have a record for the same in our database. Thanks!!

hi , you believe or not, something is wrong with this version, today when i restarted nimbuzz latest version all contacts got deleted, just few left with me.
you said earlier someone may be accessing my account but i know its my private , no one uses it.and nor i deleted them , today all it happened just in faction of seconds in front of my eyes.i really got disappointed, i lost my all friends ,i don’t remember anyone’s id. and you to surrendered to help me in getting my friends back.

Version is 2.5.1 i am using edge my operator are two zong and ufone location is pakistan i didn’t get any error when i minimize with home button it and when i
open it agin like after 5 mins its again

@usman ahmed – iOS inherently closes an application’s data connection once the application has been in the background for a while. This is to save on unintended data charges as well as to conserve battery. That is the reason, when you open Nimbuzz after a couple of minutes, you may notice that it is trying to connect to network becauseiOS may have terminated application’s data connection while it was in background. However, any messages sent to you will be delivered as soon as Nimbuzz is connected again.

@azfar – Nimbuzz allows to make free calls to contacts on Nimbuzz, MSN, Yahoo and Gtalk. However, both the contacts should be using a device which is compatible for calling i.e. symbian, android, iphone or PC. Thanks!!

i have a problem with Nimbuzz on my Android phone, i have two Accounts, when i come online with one of them my status won’t be online, therefore i’m allways offline and my addlist won’t be showed!
but with other Account i don’t have any problems, and it works as usual. please help me to get back online with other account, so I don’t have to come online with PC or Other tools…
