Are you all ready for this super cool event?!

This Saturday (September 11^th), join Nimbuzz and Daniel Torres, our Community Marketing Manager, at the first ever Teens in Tech miniConference!

Here, we will talk about mobile communications around world, and the many different ways people are using Nimbuzz to fight the system and outsmart mobile operators around the world. You can’t miss this!

Daniel will also be joined by Parteek Saran, one of our Nimbuzz’s Teen Ambassadors. In addition to the discussions, we will have a booth with giveaways, as well as 50 Nimbuzz accounts for attendees loaded with NimbuzzOut credits for international calling to mobile numbers and landlines.

More pictures from The Next Web conference

Hello all, I just got back from The Next Web conference in Amsterdam and I can tell you it was great! Nice people, cool gadgets (lots of iPads around ), great business ideas, very interesting topics and especially a great spirit.

If I would have to list the 3 best things I got from this event, those would be:

1. Spirit (the most important thing): After you see so many cool new ideas, so many people trying new things and discussing business opportunities you will definitely say: I can do it. You will get out that door with new targets,  higher expectations and a lot positive energy.
2. Networking: This was a great chance to meet new people and  the guys who write on the biggest tech blogs, which I follow on a daily basis.  Today I got the chance to meet Robin and Mike from TC, some cool guys from Nokia’s OVI store, the brains behind Prey Project and many others.
3. Social Aggregation is the present and the future! Starting with Microsoft that introduced a nifty new concept of Social feed aggregation and continuing with small start-ups that bring email and social inbox aggregation, everybody there agreed on the fact that this is something extremely important.

If you are in Amsterdam on March 29 or around here we would like to let you know that you can meet us at Brazil Means Business. This is an event where Brazilian and European entrepreneurs and investors will debate the growing interest in the emerging economy that signifies a huge market for web applications and Internet startups.

Dick van der Kwaak,  Nimbuzz VP of Business Operations will be present at the event and will talk about our experience in working with the Brazilian market so far. We have opened an office in Sao Paolo in 2008 and ever since we focused on PR and partnerships deals to enable Nimbuzz to become the best choice for all the Brazilian people.

So far, Marcelo (pictured below) our main man in Brazil has done a great job on positioning Nimbuzz as a top brand in Brazil. He did that by managing a brilliant blog, representing Nimbuzz at local events and spreading the word among the young Brazilian marketeers.

It is Mobile World Congress time again, and we invite to come and meet us at our booth to show you what we’ve got coming up for you!

Mobile World Congress is the biggest yearly event of the mobile industry, and it is the place where leaders in the space gather to collaborate. In 2009, Mobile World Congress hosted approximately 47,000 mobile professionals from 182 countries.

Last night at the BlackBerry EMEA Alliance Summit 2009 in Rome, our colleague Rutger Coolen (pictured in the middle ) was honored to collect the Connect On BlackBerry award on behalf of everyone at Nimbuzz.
