Express yourself with Nimbuzz Emoticons

January 7th, 2009

They say a picture is worth a 1000 words, maybe an emoticon will be worth at least 500.

In case you have never tried it… click Options when in a chat, and choose Insert emoticon. (Nimbuzz Mobile)

Here are some examples of when to use emoticons inside a Nimbuzz chat:

Smile more often on Nimbuzz.
Sure, I understand what you say
Dude, that’s really funny!
Aaah, I wanted to go out tonight!
I can wait to see you!
He said what !?!
We have to finish the homework by tomorrow??
I lost my phone.
You better be here by 10!
You won’t?
I can’t say anything.

We hope you have fun with these emoticons and that they may save you time while chatting. Express yourself. :)

Locate your phone with the “Buzz”!

December 17th, 2008

Ever have to frantically ask a nearby friend to call your phone so you can find it, before it stops ringing? Although you find your phone, you leave an impression that you do this to all incoming phone calls…

The “Buzz” is a short call alert sent to a phone, when Nimbuzz is not running; Used to alert an offline buddy. Instead of using costly mobile minutes to get in touch with your friend, sending a Buzz alert is free and auto-starts Nimbuzz! (depending on your handset)

BUZZee: To benefit from the “Buzz”, the feature must be activated via Nimbuzz Mobile: Menu/Options > Settings > Nimbuzz > The Buzz; then choose to Activate; or PC Client: File > Nimbuzz Account Settings > Allow others to Buzz me.

A received Buzz alert looks like a missed called from Nimbuzz Buzz, or +313131.

BUZZer: To “Buzz” a contact on your Nimbuzz buddy list, just select the offline NimbuzzID and press BUZZ.

Now, in the situation mentioned above, you can casually go to the nearest internet-enabled device, buzz yourself, locate your own phone, unfrazzled. We’ll keep it as our little secret.

November 13th, 2008

This one goes out to all our German speaking users.

You might already know that we have partnered with StudiVZ to give you the Plauderkasten.

But now … , to top it all off (drumroll) … , we offer the Plauderkasten for your mobile phone so you can take all your friends from Schueler/Studi/MeinVZ with you on the go!

Should you be waiting for the bus, or need to spend quality time with old friends during a boring office meeting, just launch Nimbuzz Mobile and start chatting – wherever, whenever.

Just remember, Nimbuzz will not charge or bill you for anything. However, since Nimbuzz uses your internet connection, data charges from your provider will apply. This can lead to substantial costs. We therefore strongly recommend to use the mobile client only with a flat-rate data plan.
