Good news for all the BlackBerry users, we have a new Nimbuzz for BlackBerry update!

If last time we told you that Nimbuzz supports 60 BlackBerry models, with this update we are happy to let you know that we:

• support 19 languages: Arabic, Chinese Traditional, Chinese Simplified, German, Dutch, English, French, Hebrew, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish
• Login speed is twice as fast as before

2 days ago we released a new update for our Blackberry version and so far we got plenty of positive feedback ! Thanks a lot and keep that coming .

Another question that you asked a lot is “What devices are supported?”.

Good news about that:  with the new release we have increased the number of supported devices to 60, adding to the list older models like: 7100g, 7230, 8300, 8330, Pearl 8100, and many more.

To check if your devices is on the list click here, select the make (BlackBerry) of your mobile from the first drop-down menu and in the second drop-down menu you can see if  your model is on the list.

If last week we had good news for Nimbuzz Java users, when we announced our latest update optimized for Java touchscreens, this week we come back with more good news: We fixed the BlackBerry connection issue! Yey! [Download link]

Last year in December we announced our first native application for Blackberry’s . Unfortunately a few weeks after the new BB 5.0 O.S. upgrade went live and some pieces of our code didn’t worked with the new O.S., we had to go back to the “drawing board“  .

Although it took longer than expected, we did it and now all of you can enjoy running Nimbuzz on Blackberry.

Last night at the BlackBerry EMEA Alliance Summit 2009 in Rome, our colleague Rutger Coolen (pictured in the middle ) was honored to collect the Connect On BlackBerry award on behalf of everyone at Nimbuzz.

Location, Location, Location! The success of the location feature in Nimbuzz for S60 motivated us to expand to more phones. With Nimbuzz on your Blackberry or Java phone, you can now retrieve the location of your buddies.

A map will show the location of your buddies that enabled this feature on their Symbian client. In Symbian, you can do this at: Options > Settings > Application Settings > Location Sharing

Give it a try! You can always check the location of “Jimmy the chatbot” for a quick demo.
